A pair of Elves patrol the snowy north. Humans often refer to the Elves of the northern clans as 'Frost Elves'. Naioths are the Elves favoured mount this far north. Tough and resilient, they thrive in the frigid temperatures and can move swiftly through even the thickest snow.
Well they werent really elves, just folk who attended the Lord of the Rings exhibition where Tolkein found the inspiriation for his books
Oonagh is a light tan Tinybear Large Moona. She is a rather shy elf who plays for hours in the forests outside the house here.
Meet the waters of West Beck, recovering after tumbling the dizzy 70' over Mallyan Spout, a waterfall which arises from springs in the moorland above Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors. According to local folklore, the indigenous elves that reside in the woods have been known to occasionally push the unsuspecting tog into the waters of the Beck!
The image to my mind is peaceful, tranquil and calming, the music today is anything but! This is a great track and one, as usual, that needs the volume at 'irate neighbour' level.The video is.....interesting... and hugely reminiscent of 'Trigger Happy TV, albeit with slightly darker overtones.
I loved 'Trigger Happy', mindless, puerile sketches that stangely appealed to my sense of humour. Humour that finds the idea of antisocial 6' squirels wreaking havoc in local parks funny. When I grow up, that's the job I want! The music tracks were also fine choices.
So, here's a bit of Rise Against and also one of the more brainless sketches of the squirrels!

Why am I posting a Xmas scene in July? Well, the Elves have to work in the off season to keep up with the Xmas demand. And it looks like they're doing a pretty good job of it. I asked for a sample, but they have a quota to meet and thought I'd reduce their inventory too much. They were right too. Elves are always right.

A 9 inch fruit cake made for a charity auction for The Burnet Institute. I went a little overboard and spent way too much time on it, but I just loved making it. The design is based on a buttercream cake by Sharon Zambito, who it a cake goddess. This was entered into a Flickr Bake off throwdown with the lovely cake4you.dk, thanks Yuliya :)

Today's story and sketch "by me", you may have read yesterdays tale about me going to lunch with JB and Rescue Randy to "FTS" "Fish Taco Shop at the end of the Galaxy, it was a wonderful trip once we had rescued a group of Santa's Elves on the way who were trapped in Dimension Five's Christmas Palm Park, the details of that rescue will have to be a story for another time, because today I must focus on the events during and after a delicious fish taco lunch. When we arrived at the "FTS" entrance the hostess was taking names, and giving customers a "TCB" Taco Customer Buzzer, to inform us when our table was available, the number on our buzzer was 2313, with a flashing red message that our table would be available in Fourteen hours and twelve minutes, give or take an hour. We sat down in the lush garden waiting area, within two minutes a tall cocktail waitress, a very tall waitress named Pattibop from the Planet Feridoo recognised Rescue Randy from when she was a trauma nurse on Feridoo, who attended to Randy's rehabilitation after he had crash landed an experimental Flying Saucer, that incident will also have to be a story for another time. Soon after Randy was released Pattibop realized her medical career wasn't over, but would never be as exciting after restoring the most interesting living tissue crash test dummy in the Cosmos. Pattibop moved, became a cocktail waitress here at the Fish Taco Shop at the end of the Galaxy. Pattibop got us a VIP table in five minutes, suggested the Mystery Fish Taco Plate, which I must say the tacos were excellent. Randy decided to stay behind and take Pattibop on a date when her shift was over, sometime in a day or so. JB borrowed a galactic glider with a self returning program from a pilot he knew who's "TCB" customer number was #2417 he knew his lunch would be awhile. On our way back to the Man Cave through worm hole Thirteen, we got a message from Santa more of his elves had found the directions to the dimension five Christmas Palm Park, on the elves restroom wall and had somehow hitched a ride, and could we pick them up and hold them in the Man Cave until tomorrow, when he will use the "SMEW" Santa's Memory Eraser Wand on them. You see JB and I arriving to pick up the elves, hopefully they will come along peacefully, until next time taa ta the Rod Blog

Not heard anything from Santa in the past few days , but as for the North Pole it is going belly up there !! The polar bears have been on a bender and now this character is out of it now , would not want his hangover when he comes to !! With Santa away at this crucial time and his transport given up the ghost , all of the elves , reindeer , polar bears and everyone else up there are fed up that Santa has left them to it all !!
It is not sure if all the toys will be ready in time and the reindeer have not been given their magic hay so that they are not geared up for all the flying ahead of them !!
It's all going to pot up there and as to what the elves are getting up to - well this is a family site so we will leave that up to you !!
I have a feeling some of you who peeped into the time machine viewer may have already seen this scene !!
