Repost. This was my first photo I ever added to Flickr in July last year. This photo and one more are the only ones I have ever taken that made it to explore.

âTo me, photography is an art of observation. Itâs about finding something interesting in an ordinary place⊠Iâve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them".

Elliott Bay is a large bay in Puget Sound in Seattle, serving as the gateway to the city's vast port system. This important waterway has been a key element of Seattle's economy since its founding in the 19th century. Today, the bay is a hub of constant maritime activity, with ferries, cargo ships, and pleasure boats. It is also a popular tourist attraction, featuring iconic spots like the Seattle Great Wheel and the Port of Seattle. The bay offers spectacular views of the mountains and the city skyline, and the waterfront area is being revitalized with new parks and trails for pedestrians and cyclists.

There is one grave that stands out a little from the others in the peaceful churchyard of All Saints in Darfield. It seems slightly better tended with a fresh coat of paint on its iron railings. This is the grave of Ebenezer Elliott.
Known as the Corn Law Rhymer, Elliott was a vociferous champion of the industrial poor and critic of the Corn Laws (or Bread Tax) at a time of great political upheaval.

Elliott is very suspicious of any attention in his direction. Here he gives me that look. :-)) He passed away this morning. He was much brighter than this photo makes him out to be.
