A black-crowned night heron passing by on its way to the pond ✔️

Sometimes the most innocuous of events can be turned into the focal point of an image. Or, at least amongst the supporting cast. In this case, the remnant of a jet stream appears over one of the Trail islands. And, with the sun below the horizon, its rays now light the single streak because of its elevation. Combining this with other colors like violet and blue that now appear to surround the island, and we are subject to a colorful farewell.
