I asked the following question on the Dead Memories Portland Facebook group:

"Is it possible that these little houses were made from re-purposed scrapped 1950s-era streetcars? The roof looks similar in this (attached) photo from 1953. (image from the book "Portland's Streetcars" by Richard Thompson, via Google Books)"

and commenter Dan replied:

"Indeed- judging from the arched windows, they are former Oregon Electric cars. The Oregon Electric's Porter Street yards were near the Ross Island Bridge. Not all that far to have to have hauled them to the area that would later become South Auditorium Urban Renewal."

A better version was posted by the great Vintage Portland blog at vintageportland.wordpress.com/2010/12/23/old-crosby-house...

The re-posted photo above is from there.

Commenter Jim adds:

"The same area 29 years later. Had it survived, the Crosby house would have been on the right side of Dan’s previous post.

vintageportland.wordpress.com/2009/11/30/sw-4th-yamhill "

Commenter Bart adds:

Per: “Classic houses of Portland Oregon 1850-1950″ The Crosby house was one of the only two plastered interiors in Portland at the time it was built (lime for plaster had to come from the Hawiian Islands). The framing lumber was milled locally but all the finish materials, trim and siding were shipped from the east coast. I believe the building cost was around $17,000. Several hundred thousand in todays currency.

Filing Income Tax returns on time is quite important for each and

every person who earns more than Rs 5 lakhs as their annual income. Usually, the tax payers
