One of the quirks of ILA at Berlin Schönefeld: aircraft parked on static display are towed THROUGHT THE CROWD towards the flightline. This is how I got to see this beautiful warbird with famous German aerobatic pilot Walter Eichhorn in the cockpit. White scarf included!

Seen arriving rwy 19L as DY1105 from Berlin (EDDB/BER) this friday last month
A truly unique formation of two iconic former Cold War adversaries: an Apache and a Hind. The Czech helo was scheduled to perform after the WAH-64D, so the pilots organized on the spot an ad-hoc formation. They took off together, made a few flybys and then the Hind broke off and orbited as the Apache flew its display. Despite the backlight and the heat, it is a stunning sight to have these two helos in one frame flying over the iconic city of Berlin, the point where the Cold War began and met its conclusion.
Dedicated to Tim McMental, whose former regiment is flying the AAC Apache display and who lived through the dark days prior to the Wall coming down. This image is not only pretty to him, but it is a sobering reminder of just how well the Cold War turned out.

Przez całe lata Ryanair korzystał z berlińskiego Flughafen Berlin Schönefeld (SXF) wraz ze swoją konkurencją easyJet i Wizz Air, po wybudowaniu nowego lotniska, początkowo pozostał na starych zasadach Terminala T5, obecnie odprawia swoje samoloty z Terminala T2, zlokalizowanego w centralnej części portu BER - Berlin Brandenburg Airport.
Samolot o znakach 🇮🇪EI-EFD podczas kołowania do progu pasa 25R przed odlotem do 🇪🇸Madrytu.

Touching down after the display with a puff of smoke from the nose gear. With the bad lighting conditions at the ILA (sun in the face, heat distortion) landing shots are among the only possibilities to get a decent shot with the light reflected off the runway. It is based on the proven passenger aircraft, the An-148, sharing its engines, wings, nose with cockpit and other components. The machine in the new Icelandair livery, in the pink version, on February 13, 2022 took its second rotation after arriving from the paint shop in Norwich.
Nowe malowania zawsze wzbudzają sporo emocji, szczególnie jeśli poprzednie były rozpoznawalne i estetyczne. Od kilkunastu dni po Europie latają już trzy a od wczoraj cztery maszyny 737-8MAX należące do 🇮🇸Icelandair w nowej szacie graficznej. Są nimi TF-ICE (niebieski), TF-ICY (żółty), TF-ICU( różowy), TF-ICR (seledynowy). Cechą charakterystyczną zmienionej koncepcji barw będzie zmieniający się kolorowy pasek widniejący na stateczniku pionowym.
W minioną niedzielę przed moim obiektywem pojawił się różowy TF-ICU wykonujący rotację TF528 z Keflavik (BIKF/KEF). Samolot wykonywał w tym dniu drugą komercyjną rotację (KEF-BER-KEF) po opuszczeniu lakierni w Norwich.

Obecnie we flocie KLM Cityhopper znajduje się 26 samolotów typu Embraer 190STD, 4 nowe Embraer'y E2 oraz 17 Embraerów 175 co daje w sumie ✈️53 maszyny i stawia KLM na pierwszym miejscu pod względem ilość użytkowanych maszyn brazylijskiej produkcji w Europie.
Podczas czerwcowej☀ wizyty na berlińskim lotnisku im. Willy'ego Brandta udało mi się sfotografować kolejny samolot KLM o znakach PH-EZK odlatujący z pasa 07R do Amsterdamu (AMS).

The dark, menacing silhouette of a Mi-171 swooping towards me is really intimidating. I love the sight and sound of the Mi-8/17 helicopters

Aufgrund des Nachfrageinbruchs im Zuge der Corona Pandemie haben Lufthansa und EasyJet jeweils mehr als 20 Maschinen der Airbus A320 Familie auf dem Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg (BER) abgestellt.
Due to the collapse in demand in the wake of the Corona Pandemic, Lufthansa and EasyJet have each stored more than 20 Airbus A320 Family aircraft at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
Turning hard with flaps and slats deployed, the A350 shows her beauty and elegance. I love the reflections on that clean and smooth fuselage made of carbon fibre composites. Also notice the large bypass ratio of the turbofan engines, which look almost 'empty'!. This was the second display on the Long Friday, when the light was much better than for the noon display. Internationale Luft-und Raumfahrtausstellung (ILA) Berlin 2016.
