Aside from the haze and dust, a visit to ILA at Berlin-Schoenefeld 12 years ago today was a rather good one!
German military assets were the stars, including this four-ship of Tornado IDS, featuring a buddy-buddy refuelling demo. They were part of the much wider SNAP section of the display.

Amazing close-up of the Polish Air Force MiG-29 Fulcrum doing his signature go-around after a low pass in landing configuration. Some children next to me were sad that the MiG was landing and the show was over. Knowing what was to come, I kept my mouth shut and heard their joyful screams as the Fulcrum lit the burners and went vertical right net to us. Awesome!

What a beauty she is! Taxiing down the runway to take off into the wind for her display during ILA Internationale Luft-und Raumfahrtausstellung Berlin 2016. Note the pilot waving to the crowd. 1/60 second exposure to capture prop disk sectors, but that propeller turns damn slowly when at ground idle :)
