While shooting the I87 with the N&W heritage unit I broke off briefly from chasing to shoot Pan Am Southern local ED2 which works the Conn River line from Deerfield south down to Holyoke, MA. The train led my ST #77 (former B&M) GP9 in the Maroon and Gold Boston & Maine paint scheme. The train has just traveled two miles since coming off the Deerfield loop track at CPR35. With Bobby Fontaine at the throttle the train begins to accelerate as it splits the old B&M signals at CPR33 in Deerfield, MA. Photo taken August 29, 2016
