Some places are making it really easy to unload trucks these days - time is money! What a free ride!
With the six foot snowbanks behind them, SBPC doesn't need to tiptoe over crossings anymore. Another 40 miles South and the snow won't even exist. In the meantime three choice motors for 2023 make that jointed track remember the good old days as SBPC leaves the Centennial Range in the mirror.

It was probably the most impressive experience I’ve ever had but it was not easy. I will never forget the robotic arm ride while holding equipment that is three times my weight. The slightest movement increased its inertia (thankfully Megan is the world champion robotic arm operator). Visually it was a bit like holding a fridge upside down, while holding on with my feet over a 300 km cliff face #humblebrag. Quite a few things didn’t go according to plan but I am immensely proud of the team that fought to find solutions. #dreamteam. Shane exudes professionalism at all times, the ground teams and control centre were on point, and then there were our incredible colleagues driving the robotic arm and getting us into the suits (and out again). I might still be on an adrenaline high, but I don’t think you can find a better team. We are going to try to get some rest and consider the follow-up operations.
C’était à la fois une expérience magique et un vrai combat ; je ne suis pas prêt d’oublier ce petit tour au bout du bras robotique en tenant un équipement qui fait 3 fois mon poids, le moindre mouvement lui faisant prendre de l’inertie. Heureusement que Megan est championne du monde de conduite de bras robotique ! Visuellement c’était un peu comme tenir un frigo, accroché par les pieds, la tête à l’envers sur une paroi abrupte de quelques kilomètres #humblebrag. Pas mal de choses ne se sont pas passées comme prévu mais je suis super fier de l’équipe qui s’est battue pour trouver des solutions #dreamteam. Shane 👨🚀 égal à lui-même de flegme et de professionnalisme, l’équipe 💻 au centre de contrôle au top, les collègues au bras robotique ou qui nous ont mis dans les scaphandres (et nous en ont sortis)... Je suis peut-être encore sous le coup de l’adrénaline, mais je pense qu’on ne peut pas trouver mieux (ou alors il va falloir me le prouver 😁). On va essayer de prendre un peu de repos en attendant la suite des opérations 😴

Der Leuchtturm in Moritzburg ist Sachsens einziger Binnenleuchtturm. Der Staffagebau (Folly) entstand im späten 18. Jahrhundert als Teil einer Kulisse für nachgestellte Seeschlachten (Naumachie). Er ist der einzige für diesen Zweck gebaute Leuchtturm in Deutschland und gleichzeitig einer der ältesten Binnenleuchttürme der Bundesrepublik.

Saturn with some of its moons. Not an easy task with Saturn so low in the sky at 51° N Latitude.
For the Moons an exposure of 2s was applied.
The Moon Mimas should in theory be visible, but I was not able to get it decently out of the overexposed glow of Saturn. I could detect a glimps of it in the very stretched, stacked picture.
It was an amazing day out at sea today ....... Common Dolphins driving mackerel shoals to the surface in order to feed off easy pickings.

A Spring migrant that fell out on Perdido Key. Couldn't make it to the mainland I guess. He was on the sand when I saw him and could barely fly. I could have gotten some easy shots, but just didn't want to stress this bird any more. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

I have this kinda whacked personality disorder when it comes to taxi drivers. Perhaps I'm a spoiled middle-class-America-reared kid who gets miffed easily just because multiple empty cabs will pass me by on a given day or night. Or hell, maybe I become nearly apoplectic when it happens because I have had more responsive cabbies (of different ethnicities) tell me it happens largely because I am African-American. Add to all of this the fact there are obviously LEGITIMATE reasons a hack can't take a fare, and you have one confusing mess of soup.
Well when it happened earlier today, the driver explained that he was on his way to pick up another fare. Without missing a beat - or giving a damn whether he was telling the truth - I replied, "It's your (lost) money, man" and walked away. Doubt my blood pressure inched up a millimeter. Caught another cab that wasn't as pressed, made it to the pharmacy, caught another cab to my doctor's appointment, and took this relaxed, sunny, flowery (holy hell) shot before I went into the office.
There are truly days when the outside world cannot wreck your inner peace. I find those days to be pretty cool and - of course, pretty

The Barred Owl (Strix varia) made it look so easy. It scanned the ground for about a minute before take off, plunged, caught its prey, and retreated back to a tree stump. All in about two minutes.

Another lith re-interpretation of an older negative. I love how this one turned out, very colorful and nice tones overall!
The paper used here was ancient Revue BS 13 RC stock that was completely fogged. I couldn't even make a test strip as it would simply turn 100% black in normal developer. I ended up eyeballing/guesstimating the exposure time instead.
The print has a slight texture of microscopic black dots all over it. You can hardly see it on this upload.
I like this print much better than the direct negative scan I uploaded to Flickr a while ago.

Scanned on a Heidelberg/Linotype-Hell Saphir Ultra II using Vuescan.
Hi guys. This time another way to make the lo-fi photography. Well, the 110/pocket microfilm is obviously the best way. But it's not that easy to buy the 110 films, and even much more hard is to find a photo-lab that will scan it. I was wondering what the solution might be. And You know what is it? The 1/4 of the standard 135 film's frame. Namely: the Lomography ActionSampler camera. 4 lenses giving You 4 slightly different lo-fi photos on one 135 film's frame. (!!!)
Not only You get a very small format (1/4 of the 135 looks like a photo from 110/pocket film) but also: You have 36 shots instead 24. AND moreover - You can chose one the best shot of the 4 variations from every photo You take.
We've got the lo-fi screen then, easy to scan for every photo-lab. And we can use the standard 135 film You can still but everywhere. The only thing You have to do is to "crop out" the best variation from the ActionSampler's quadruple shot. Nice and easy. AND STILL LO-FI!!!! :-D
So anyway. It looks like this.

Life has never been easy for either of us. We've both always had to just keep surviving. Our relationship and our happiness has always had some kind of test and obstacle, with a little luck and some time though that will all change. Love isn't always gumdrops and ice cream. The beautiful lies told by the fairy tales we grew up with do not prepare us for what love actually is. Truth is, love is chaotic and blissful at the same time. It's effortless to feel but needs some work to maintain. With all the challenges we have faced and are facing now, we've never had it easy. Then again nothing easy was ever worth fighting for to begin with. I love you and I'll be right here with you and for you no matter what comes our way.
