Teleport to Anthem on 9/3.

A beautiful morning in Austria

Kurt Vonnegut - "Why me? That’s a very Earthling question to ask...why you? Why us for that matter? Why anything? Because this moment simply is. Have you ever seen bugs trapped in amber? Yes. Well here we are...trapped in the amber of this moment. There is no why."

"Do not shoot Earthling, I come with an offer that will be mutually beneficial to both of us!"

I always think Orion, the elf, looks like he comes from another planet, so it seemed appropriate to have an Earth-like background for him. :)

If you ask me I would say this is genuine you might think I was crazy but this photo was made from a nasa photo of Jupiter and how did I make the face effect with the hands?haven’t a clue it just appeared I can’t for the life of me figure it out, well I could see where the hands would be to finish it off .the face no clue thanks to who ever you are for letting me be a part of your introduction!I wouldn’t say no to a tour,,,,,now I’m thinking I most have mirrored it and for got I did it TFTV

The alien tourist is beamed down to Earth. What adventures await him?

Well, I dunno, actually, I just thought that these spot lights remind me of UFO. xD And then I thought that this cute traveler would be more appropriate than abduction of the cow (and I don't have a Lego cow, so...) I think I was standing on a table to take that picture. xD

I'm baaack! :) Sorry, I had to move again, and this time situation was even worse than the last year, so I decided that I don't have time for Flickr and everything until I'm done. Also a very creepy story has happened in relation to move, nobody get hurt, but in theory I very easily could and it still scares me. Don't worry, I think it's over now.

And like it wasn't enough, another (and unrelated!) creepy story just happened in my LUG right when I was going to return there. In case you wondering, it was a stalker (my now former friend), and I blocked him here as well. It seems like we ended that situation in peace, so hopefully it's okay now.

It supposed to be my small vacation, but it all was wasted on fixing of that situation, so now I'm exhausted and didn't do anything on my to-do list. But I managed to take two nice pictures on the nature until I left my previous place, so I have something to show for the next weeks anyway, though actually I would like to build something, just don't know when. :)

I am obviously a science fiction addict and am not afraid to admit it. The genre and become even more attractive to me as a means of temporarily escaping our present COVID-19 reality and the American political trainwreck,

I took this Sheboygan street scene Sunday with my iPhone and altered it with Photofox's Surreal Skies component.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE !!

Alternate universes apart , there are still an infinite number of worlds that have life on them , some might only be life at a molecular level and some are only just seeing intelligent life coming to the for and of course there some worlds with the population so advanced that they have ascended to beings of pure intelligence . You , the people of the Earth are just starting on your journey - but we are here to warn you that your paths and decisions have come to the point that you will now accelerate on your path to better things or set the whole process backwards to the start point if not bringing a very early end completely -

Stop , listen , think and make some wise choices !!

Two years ago we did a road trip from California to Utah. We drove along the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada, and stopped at the Little A'Le'Inn, located near the mysterious Area 51. An old truck is parked in front of the restaurant. It was very windy that night, and I had to take several shots until I got one where the flying saucer was not moving too much.

I processed a paintery and a balanced HDR photo from four RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Re-edit of an image from 2013 - taken during a photoshoot at a friend's alpaca farm. He looks so crazy yet intelligent that he reminds me of a Star Wars alien.

Thank You Earthlings for my Xmas present (Earth)

Here we have photographic proof to support the reporting of UFO abductions of Earthling automobiles.

Are the aliens sending us a message? Are they trying to cripple our way of life? Or are they trying to save us?

Everybody laughed when it was just cattle and people. But cars? Now it's serious.

(Notice the reflection in the water that proves it's real, and I didn't even Photoshop it in either.)

Shiprock is a monadnock rising nearly 1,583 feet (482.5 m) above the high-desert plain of the Navajo Nation in San Juan County, New Mexico, United States. Its peak elevation is 7,177 feet (2,187.5 m) above sea level. It is about 10.75 miles (17.30 km) southwest of the town of Shiprock, which is named for the peak.

The shape of this rock is reminiscent of a 19th century clipper.

Governed by the Navajo Nation, the formation is in the Four Corners region and plays a significant role in Navajo religion, myth, and tradition. It is located in the center of the area occupied by the Ancient Pueblo People, a prehistoric Native American culture of the Southwest United States often referred to as the Anasazi.

So much for the prose. But we also had a special encounter there, which I would like to describe to you.

Since this rock is sacred to the Navajos, we parked in the nearest parking lot in front of it and after a short look I discovered this beautiful puddle in which the Shiprock was wonderfully reflected. I was setting up my tripod and setting up my camera when a small red car appeared from the right, then turned onto the path you can see here and slowly approached us. Already annoyed that some earthlings have nothing sacred, I expressed my displeasure and we waited until the car passed us. My friend said I shouldn't judge so hastily, maybe there were good reasons that they drove around here. When the car was level with us, it stopped and the driver rolled down the window, so it was easy to see that they were indigenous people - an old man and a young girl. He asked us what we are doing here and where we are from...both got out and so we had an interesting conversation with interesting people. The man was very friendly and he introduced himself as Herman (a German name given to him by his mother because the doctor who gave birth to him was a German named Herman...). Since we are from Germany ourselves, the whole thing was quite amusing. In the course of the conversation, we learned that the girl was his niece, and it was her birthday on that very day. So we decided without further ado to sing her a birthday song - Happy Birthday... and she told us with a bright face that she had never received a birthday song before...

We had already said our goodbyes and were about to drive back towards Shiprock (the town) when the little red car came towards us, stopped and the old man gave us his beautiful Indian jewelery which he had just been wearing - unbelievable...we thanked him so much and drove on...a few miles down the highway towards Shiprock I suddenly saw in the rear view mirror a small red car coming, flashing its headlights...it passed us, signaled right, braked in front of us and pulled to the curb. ..we followed him and stopped behind the little red wagon...it was our indigenous friends of course and Herman jumped out of the wagon and came up to us and asked us if we could sing the birthday song for his niece again - namely in German :-) which of course we gladly did. We took his niece in the middle and sang her Happy Birthday in German and Herman recorded the whole thing on video with his smartphone...

What can I say? It was a beautiful encounter of a special kind... and if you can make someone happy, then you're very happy about it. With good wishes and that we should visit them next time, we said goodbye.

This little story is now firmly connected to Shiprock for me and I also derive a New Year's resolution for myself from this. I'm trying not to judge too quickly - Herman, thank you!

I wish you all a wonderful and happy new year!

Was soll man dazu sagen?

Every time I see one of these it reminds me of a creature from a Sci-fi movie. Definitely double-click this one.

For 'MM' this week with a theme of bulb I decided to photograph a halogen light bulb floating around in oil and water with a colourful background underneath.

I only used outside natural light to create this oil & water image.

I then cropped, enhanced the colours etc. to achieve this bulb image.

It's way under the 3 inch maximum size requirements for Macro Mondays.

Love & Peace everyone 💖

Believe it or not, this is a button. It's slightly over 1" wide, fabric covered and made by hand. I think it's intended to be used as an instant face for a fabric doll, but I just thought it might be fun to photograph. It arrived (or, perhaps, landed from another planet?) a few days ago, along with 2 others, one blonde and one dark haired. The Royal Crown Derby china thimble is also new to me. Perhaps I bought these in an effort to tear myself away from all things vintage? It won't work, of course, but it's a New Year when all things are possible. Anyway, a change is as good as a rest, as they say. :)

For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, New.

Quietly watching over the sunset and curious Earthlings around, Toadstool Hoodoo stands tall and proud. Another take on an icon.
