E-Type Jaguar 4.2

1964 model (or could be early 1965)

Discovered at Coogee Beach, Sydney, whilst on my summer

ocean-side walking trek, from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach, stopping for coffee, of-course, at the Lazy Frog Cafe in Bronte. Where else?

Now why, on earth, would Jaguar design a car with a boot that opens like this? Weird science, I say. It would have to be inconvenient in the Westfield carpark! But that being said, a 4.2 litre engine in such a small vehicle, would mean that this E-Type Jaguar would literally fly!

Here's some car jargon:

In 1964, the E-Type received several important upgrades including a 4.2-litre version of the famous XK engine. Other upgrades included a fully synchromesh transmission, new Laycock-Hausserman clutch, revised engine cooling and a new alternator which replaced the generator. (And, I cheekily add, a silly opening boot - ha)

My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV, with the Canon EF 24-105mm f 4/L lens.

Processed in Adobe Lightroom and PhotoPad Pro.

Photograph taken on New Year's Eve, 2021 and retrieved from my Adobe cloud storage on Valentine's Day, 2023.

Durante il 1967 e fino a tutto il 1969 la fabbrica KMZ costruì una catena di montaggio di stampaggio pressofuso, permettendo la produzione di massa di uno dei modelli più famosi della produzione sovietica: la Zenit-E.

And I will wait for tomorrow

O Amor é livre como um pássaro na janela

Não sabe se entra, não sabe se foge...

Mas observa passivamente todas as coisas,

com a calma que a eternidade lhe deu.

É um Anjo!

Minar-e-Pakistan is a tall minaret in Iqbal Park Lahore, built in commemoration of the Pakistan Resolution. The minaret reflects a blend of Mughal and modern architecture, and is constructed on the site where on March 23, 1940, seven years before the formation of Pakistan, the Muslim League passed the Pakistan Resolution (Qarardad-e-Pakistan), demanding the creation of Pakistan.[1] This was the first official declaration to establish a separate homeland for the Muslims living in the South Asia.[2] Pakistan now celebrates this day as a national holiday each year.

The monument attracts visitors from all over Pakistan, as well as the inhabitants of the Walled City of Lahore. The large public space around the monument is commonly used for political and public meetings, whereas Iqbal Park area is popular among kite-flyers.
