Yesterday I noticed this leaf sitting on my car. It was the first real fall leaf that I've seen, in a season that appears to be strangely late.

The air in the Snoqualmie valley in fall is crisp and humid; the river grows fed by abundant rains, and the colors of the season show up in patches. The sun seems to contribute to the progression of red. The more sun, the faster the leaves turn color. The same sun that nourishes and feeds the plants in summer, seems to be telling the same plants that it is time to go to sleep in preparation for winter.
Observing nature in motion is such a pleasure. There is so much to learn from it.

Old barn northeast of Seattle. Looks like someone is making this into a home. This is way out in an agricultural area, so it be a quiet place to live.

Duvall Motel and Restaurant located at 200 North 2nd St. in Clarksville,MO. The 23 room motel along with the restaurant are currently abandoned.
Note after dropping the Best Western affiliation the motel spent time operating under the name Clarksville Inn while the restaurant was most recently operating under the name Clarksville River-view Restaurant.
Its also worth noting the Shell Gas Station which most recently operated under the name Steve's Auto Repair is currently vacant as well.
On a final note it does look like the property is being somewhat maintained and still could reopen, especially with its prominent location which features a spectacular view of the Mississippi River.

She is amazingly dark!😻 I have Awakening Annik in the same Dark A-Tone skintone and I struggle to get Annik to appear as dark in photos as my eyes see. Jordan is the opposite and she looks so dark in photos I am stunned! Struggling to light her because she has a beautiful “shine” to her as well, and she reflects the light like her skin is just glowing.
