A beautiful eagle who kept his (her?) ground as I approached on foot. The bird kept looking around to make sure it wasn't about to be ambushed, though.
Toyota Corolla and the Lada 1200 are imported mostly from the Netherlands. Stickers and even license plates indicate the origin of the car. Lada's are primarily used as taxi's, while the Toyota Corolla is the dream of many young Ethiopians.

My girl Victoria from Argentina made it to Holland, after we first went to Paris together.
The most beautiful time of the year in Holland. These tulip field are amazing. I can spend days in these fields and photograph the tulips.
While I have so many pictures to process from my city trips, I would like to share some tulips now, because it's a season. :)
Andy took on several dangerous projects this weekend. All of which
involved feeding us (thus the danger). He could have lost a finger.
1. Dutch Oven - 3 meals - 2 frittatas and one apple cobbler. During
one of the presentations people heard Andy's gripe about the dutch
oven being hard to reach in our deep fire pit and he scored a good
looking rebar lid holder which was made on-site and gifted to him.
Andy was completely fearless after cooking our first breakfast he
decided to flip the dish while the starving masses waited anxiously.
Good thing he didn't drop breakfast all over the concrete or we would
have had a riot.
2. Carbonation - The original plan was to make a hefeweizen. This was
quickly scrapped since Andy was sharing a kitchen with the tempeh workshop. I made 2 gallons of prickly pear punch and Andy
showed us how to carbonate it with his CO2 tanks.

Dutch Elm Disease (DED) took out 3 elm trees in our yard this summer. We hired our neighbor down the road who does tree work to remove them all. These two were the worst loss, as they provided wonderful shade in the evening on the west side of our house over the deck. What a bummer.
De Holland Triathlon in Almere is vaste prik aan het einde van de zomer. De afgelopen jaren werd de triathlon steeds voor de deur in Almere-Haven gehouden, maar dit jaar – de 30e! – is de triathlon terug op de originele plek, Almere Stad. Rond het Weerwater is een parcours uitgezet voor 3,8km zwemmen, 180km fietsen en een marathon van 42,195km.

After seeing leuwam's photo of a Dutch Baby I knew I had to make one. So this morning I made myself one for breakfast. It was quite interesting. At first I was only eating it with syrup and it tasted pretty eggy, and I am not a fan of eggs. Once I added the raspberries though it was actually pretty nice. I'll have to experiment with it some, but it was definitely fun to eat! :)
