The last minutes of hazy golden light down a suburban street, as the sun slipped lower and lower down. I was walking as quickly as I could to catch the light, but the sun had gone down below the roofline by the time I got past the little roundabout.
We visited with family yesterday, and as we walked out the door to return home, this was the incredible view we saw. Look closely...can you find the grandchildren’s swing?
Dusk over London as seen from the Shard. This view looks out over City Hall and Tower Bridge, past Wapping on the North bank and Rotherhithe on the South bank, across to Canary Wharf, and on to the Thames Barrier behind. This was shot just as the lights started to turn on across the city.

Penticton's waterfront and the Romp-Sculpures on Okanagan Lake. On the far right is the S.S. Sicamous Museum and Heritage Park. The ships on display in the park are the S. S. Sicamous a passenger and cargo vessel, the S. S. Naramata and Canadian National Number 6, both tugboats. The tugboats would push large barges loaded with railroad cars to the various communities along the lake. The Steam Ship Sicamous is a large steel-hulled sternwheeler, built for the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1914, and is now permanently beached on Okanagan Lake in Penticton.

"Four centuries of this damned immortality
Yet, I did not ask to be made. Why ?
I will never again feel your sun upon my face
Or the comfort of a grave
I am not alive and I am not dead
This is Hell on earth" --- Type O Negative
