After her recent haggis-bashing massacre, #FlossyFleecefoot quickly became smitten by the power contained within the unassuming Fortune’s Frond.
Despite her better judgment, Flossy started to fantasise about what mysteries the four-leafed clover would bestow upon the animal who dared to actually eat this mythical meal.
Weak with desire, she chowed down.
…
Without even adding a basic salad dressing, Fortune’s Frond was devoured in seconds. With her tummy full and curiosity satiated, Flossy was a little confused as to why she felt so hollow inside.
The hollowness soon turned into mild indigestion, and then chronic heartburn. Flossy tried to forage for some peppermint leaves, but before long she was bent over in crippling agony. And then the transformation started…
The only witness to this herbal horror was Margaret, but despite their lifelong friendship, she bailed at the first opportunity. Margaret was always a smart bear and knew her Flossy was gone.
From the shadows stepped forward Flossy’s final form – ‘Ovinus Maximus’, a black sheep filled with bile and hatred for all things cute.
This woolly nightmare headed straight for her hometown, where cuteness was always considered a key strength (spoiler - it’s not).
By nightfall, Ovinus Maximus reached the village outskirts and encountered a lone farmer tending to his cute pumpkin patch. With only a brittle wooden rake to defend himself, he quickly abandoned both the tool and any future life goals. Dropping to his knees, the farmer wasted his final breath pleading for mercy…

Highland folklore warns little lambs that wild haggis will feast on the heart, lungs, and liver of any stray sheep unlucky enough to cross their path whilst travelling alone.
For #FlossyFleecefoot, that day was today! Not long after leaving Whispering Woods behind, poor Flossy was attacked by a horde of ravenous haggis.
Fortune’s Frond was quick to act though, and somehow summoned Flossy’s ursine best friend, Margaret, to assist her in this skirmish. With Margaret eating every second haggis, this brave wee sheep only had to deflect the occasional airborne haggis with her trusty unicorn shield. Let the haggis bashing commence!

KUKOSHI QUICKPAW.
(Dungeon Crossing Series: Pt. 1)
This is my entry to the #heroesoffurandfeather series hosted by @brothersbrickofficial and going on now! It's all based around a crossover we never knew we needed: Animal Crossing and Dungeons and Dragons! My character for the challenge is the canian(homebrew race) fighter, Kukoshi Quickpaw. Lore below!
Kukoshi Quickpaw is the youngest pup in his family, and his time has finally come to partake in the Delving Day rite of passage! Kukoshi hails from a small family that lives in a mysterious part of the Valley known as Bone's Hollow. It's said the bones in the Hollow belonged to fearsome monsters of long ago. Most in the Valley don't generally visit Bone's Hollow, as a superstition surrounds it. As such, Kukoshi struggled a bit in his adolescence to make friends, since his family was viewed with a bit of a skeptic eye. Why it was so strange to everyone he lived there, he couldn't fathom! Sure there were a number of old bones leftover from a bygone era, but things still grew there, and as long as things grew, there was still life.
His family is full of carvers. They specialize in carving bone, but are equally proficient in woodcarving. Found a good stick in the woods, but need to make it an even better, special stick as a gift for a loved one? The Quickpaws are your people! Er--animals?
Kukoshi is a little nervous to venture to Dungeon Crossing, but as long as he's got his family axe by his side, he knows he'll be alright. The handle of the axe may have a few gnawing marks on it from the many generations that have wielded it, but what dog doesn't love a good bone? Though it isn't anything overtly special, the axe has protected the family over the ages in each pup's Delving Day rites, so the Quickpaws are confident their son will be just fine!
As the young pup travels onward, his tail wags with a nervous excitement, and he reaches into his bag to grab one of his calming snacks. Though Kukoshi's anxiety often gets out of hand, he knows there's no reason his Ma and Pa would send him off to do something he couldn't handle. Plus, now he'd get to show off all those fancy axe tricks he had been practicing!

#FlossyFleecefoot was born in the Highland mists, where her clan guarded a silver shield with a unicorn crest. When raiders came, Flossy used her quick hooves and clever tricks to reclaim the shield, ushering it to safety under fog’s cover.
Now she roams far from home, the unicorn shield strapped to her back, living by laughter and cunning as she swindles the cruel and pranks the pompous. Leaving chalk unicorn doodles as her calling card wherever she went.

Today is Delving Day, the rite of passage when fledglings must leave behind the safety of the Valley and embrace the hidden perils within #DungeonCrossing in order to seek their very own questing quarry.
#FlossyFleecefoot has bravely chosen the Whispering Woods to prove herself to the Valley elders.
After checking thousands of two and three leaf clovers, Flossy’s hopes are in a far worse state than her muddy hooves.
In a quiet clearing, she finds Fortune’s Frond lying alone on the soft moss, its emerald leaves glinting under the dappled light, and as she picks it up, the wind shifts, and the forest holds its breath, waiting to see how Flossy will carry its fragile luck.

As I was sailing back to the Valley, tension seemed to permeate the jungle. There was a sudden quaking that nearly sent me overboard! I didn't think too much of it at the time, but I began to notice movements in my periphery. The peaceful, sleepy valley seemed to respond to something... was it us adventurers delving all over Dungeon Crossing? Now the leaves skitter and shake with all manner of beasts and giant insects. Aquatic creatures, seemingly too large for this tributary, have been ramming my vessel... and to what end? Have we provoked the Valley's antibodies?
....Wait what is that rushing sound coming from downriver.... A WATERFALL!? Did those quakes change the shape of the Valley itself? WAAAaaahhh!!!!
--
I managed to survive the plunge, but I can't say the same for my poor vessel. She served me well, and deserves a better resting place than this watery grave. Within minutes of the wreck, I noticed a group of creatures scavenging my waterlogged food stores. Were these the same creatures that were ramming my boat?
I kept my distance to observe. While these prawn-like crustacean creatures might certainly be dangerous, they appear to be rather mild, especially on a full belly. I managed to find some of my supplies and caught a few fish before gathering up the courage to approach the creatures.
There was a rather large one of these dire prawns who seemed to be leaving food for its younger broodmates. I took a gamble and offered it everything I had gathered. The prawn seemed to size me up for a moment before pushing the food to her siblings and giving me a knowing look. Shelly seemed to say "Hop on! Let's hunt!" I grabbed hold of her carapace and she took off, plunging headfirst into the waterfall and cascading upwards! It was all I could do to hold on for dear life!
I might be a pirate without a ship, but I've found the first member of my crew - and that makes me a true captain!
"I prepared sushi, cucumbers and coconut water for you, Questing Beast! All the veggies were grown on my boat as I sailed to the Valley! And I know we shouldn't admit to flat-out piracy, but you asked for a bell and I swear that clam was a downright menace to society!"

Wanted!! Reward 10,000 Bells!! The Bloodthirsty Pescatarian, dreaded Kappa pirate Kyuulon! Recently seen sailing upriver in the Valley, does he mean to join the festivities and delve tomorrow?
#HeroesOfFurAndFeather #DungeonCrossing #Arrival #Kappa #Pirate
After a generous offering of cucumbers, sushi, and a bell for good luck, I spun the wheel. The Questing Beast said I should "seek the history of the sea -- as only the stone can tell" before sending me out to this dusty wasteland... how one longs for a coconut (or cucumber!) and the gentle rocking of the waves! Whoa... wait a minute... what's that up ahead? The Beast never mentioned a cavern like this!
Look at all these fossils! It's not just the history of the oceans or the Valley here... but the whole world! There must be libraries of forbidden secrets locked away beneath these sands! And magical-looking gems to sell too? It was a grand first quest - I'll be sure to tell everyone over dinner tonight! Speaking of... I wonder if there are any fish in this cavern?

After a daunting series of challenges, I find myself where I began the journey - however something profound has changed within me. Not only am I still a wanted fugitive, but the bounty has increased tenfold - although this time not just for rote piracy.
I found something sinister in the heart of the Valley.
Animals deemed unworthy were locked in dungeons and cast into the oceans as sacrifices to the deep ones. Decidedly against the pirate's code of freedom and the spirit of adventure, I could not abide these injustices. With the help of my new partner Shelly, we rescued Octavia - an Owlkin enchantress, Cerise, a Field-Rabbit duelist, and Dusky - a Fennec scout, from Kapp'n Jones' Locker. Working together, we lashed a raft and magically enticed a coconut palm to grow true as a mast. Now that the truth has been uncovered, we have no choice but to flee the Valley for sunnier seas.
Already with a good deal of treasure in tow, the sunset holds a new tale of liberation as the Pirate King sets his sights on subjugated lands and his crew sharpens their blades of revolt.
My entry for the final #HeroesOfFurAndFeather build challenge, Heart or Darkness!
