Hurricane Ike dog adopted by an adoring couple. They thought he might be skittish when I came to photograph him, but he was as easy a model as I've encountered! This was their Christmas card photo!
The Duke of Lancaster was a railway steamer passenger ship in operation in Europe from 1956 to 1978, and currently beached at Llanech - y mor, on the River Dee, north-east Wales.
The Lancaster was sold to Liverpool based company who intended her to be used as a static leisure centre and market. She arrived at her new home at Llanerch-y-Mor, near Mostyn on 10 August 1979. The ship was beached. Known as "The Fun Ship", it was also possible to visit her bridge and engine room. Its use as "The Fun Ship" was relatively short-lived and was subsequently closed to the public. Over time, the vessel has become increasingly derelict.

Duke is a very loving and cuddling dog. He loves playing with all his toys, loves sleeping in front of his fireplace and in his Mom and Dad's bed under the blankets.
Duke of York Square, just off the fashionable King's Road at the Sloane Square end, is an oasis of traffic-free calm in the heart of Chelsea.

Duke University is a private research university located in Durham, North Carolina, United States. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892.
A statue to the duke in the center of Edinburgh. I think he was named after the beef dish, but I could be mistaken.
