Duke is an awesome St. Bernard who belongs to Jeff & Steph Jablonski. We visited the Jablonski fam in Vegas and watched the kids go crazy when it snowed for the first time in their lives!

Duke is our adopted chihuahua. He is very camera shy and usually runs and hides when I get the camera out. He was abused as a puppy but now lives the life of a very spoiled and happy little dog.

Duke Kahanamoku was a totally fascinating dude (here, go read for yourself! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Kahanamoku). As the "father of modern surfing" he's credited with introducing the longboard to the mainland U.S., but he was also an Olympic swimmer and accomplished waterperson in many ways.

People leave lei tributes on the statue's arms and it is quite a feat to snap a picture without another tourist already standing in front of him. =)
