For anyone who has heard of duke from somewhere, here he is. We owned him about 9 years ago but had to give him away 'cause he wasn't good with the kids. We gave him away to good friends of ours so I've stayed in touch with him for a long time. He's 11 years old now and still lookin' good.
I liked the sky and I found a place with a better view. I did not get it straight however, and I am supposed to be working on taxes and financial aid forms....

Crewe built Duke of Gloucester 2005 Crewe Works open day. Crewe Works has now been demolished and Crewe has no heritage or museum to relate to the Works where these magnificent engines were built. Also if you served a apprenticeship at Crewe Works you became highly skilled individual and you also had broader outlook on life and were disciplined in the life because of the training you received in the working huge workforce.
What you see here is a beautiful moment in the story that is my life. At the time this picture was taken, I was standing well beneath Duke's East campus, in the utility tunnel running down the right side of the quad all the way to Baldwin Auditorium. I have wanted to get down there since the day I heard they were there and now I have walked those halls beneath the ground. It was glorious.
