Duke 111 is a type known as a "saddle tanker" because it does not have a tender. It holds it's water supply on both sides of the boiler. The locomotive carries it's coal in a bin on the back side of the engine.

Here we are in the offices of Duke St. Records in downtown Toronto, early home to Jane Siberry, Chalk Circle, Art Bergmann, Willie P. Bennett and many others. I am being presented with a personal gold award for Siberry’s, The Speckless Sky. The label and Jane recognized that the Atlantic region of WEA (Warner) had done an admirable job of promoting her project. Duke St. later offered me a position with the company in Toronto which I gratefully declined, a wonderful group of people though.

Duke had his first trip to Hilton Head over the 4th of July and had a blast! He loves his Salty Dog tshirt (and even sleeps in it!)
