The Duke of Wellington statue in Glasgow has become an iconic site due to the construction cone on its head. What started as prank is now part of the Glasgow identify, highlighting that Glaswegians don’t take themselves too seriously.

My neighbor's good boy, Duke, chocolate lab, he wants in...lol

Not sure where the name came from.

I like to think he's named after Duke Kahanamoku.

He still can't really walk on hardwood floors, and the poor cat stays away.

Duke's Place looking toward St. Botolph's Church with St. James Passage to the right. St. James Passage used to be Church Passage, & it used to be much narrower (I'm also using a very wide 14mm lens). It leads into Mitre Square. It was at this entrance to Church Passage where the three men (Joseph Lawende, Joseph Levy & Harry Harris) leaving the Jewish Imperial Club on Duke Street saw a man & a woman at around 1:35 AM on the 30th of September 1888. Catherine Eddowes was found murdered about 10 minutes later in Mitre Square.

Lawende was shown some of Eddowes's clothes & thought they looked the same as to what the woman he saw was wearing.

Fowler 10nhp Crane Engine No. 17106 was built in 1928 and spent most of its working life with Marstons Road Services in Liverpool hauling castings, dynamos and ship's gear around Great Britain. The engine gained the name 'Duke of York' in 1952 and was always known as 'the big engine' during its working life. The engine underwent major repairs in the mid 1990s and is seen here in the colliery yard at Beamish

The abandoned ship off the North Wales coast has been brought back to life after being covered in intricate street art. The hull of the rusting Duke Of Lancaster has been used as a blank canvas by a host of international graffiti artists, who call themselves the DuDug collective.

This is my hedgehog I got this summer and he's my little buddy. He's 3 months old and is a spunky little man who has quite the attitude and I love him to pieces.

Mostyn, North Wales (the ship is now repainted all black)

From wikipedia

"The plan was to transform the ship into the largest open air art gallery in the UK. As of August 2012, the Latvian graffiti artist "Kiwie" was commissioned to spraypaint a design on the ship.[4] The ship was covered with graffiti described as "bright and surreal".[5] The first phase of the project saw Kiwie and other European graffiti artists paint murals on the ship between August and November 2012, and the second phase (starting at the end of March 2013) included the work of British-based artists such as Snub23, Spacehop, Dan Kitchener and Dale Grimshaw.[6] One of the artworks is a picture of the ship's first captain, John 'Jack' Irwin. However in 2017 both sides of the ship were painted black."

Duke doesn’t let his age stand in the way, when it's time to play in the water. He would’ve played for hours if I let him.

Sarah Duke gardens on a cold late Winter day and with a hard freeze predicted for tonight it might be the last color for awhile.

Fulfilling a rare military contract grab, Duke Industrial presents the Strigida MPH. Designed as a multipurpose military helicopter for the Empire of the Sun, the Strig is a modular platform capable of transporting troops, weapons, and light vehicles.
