A bit out of focus but the conditions weren't ideal!
The people of Blackburn were fantastic today, singing "You're the Pride of Lancashire" to the Duke of Lancaster Regiment who had had their homecoming march through the town on Dec 1st 2010.

First-year medical students visit the galleries as part of a program co-sponsored by Duke’s School of Medicine and the Nasher Museum. The museum visit is part of a required course called “the practice course,” focusing on doctor-patient relationships. I love this colt foal! He is a smoky cream colour and Ellen from Irish Tinker Stable says they've finally named him Duke (ITS Duke). These photos belong to them (used with permission). Only one of him so far. A few of his buckskin parents below.

Ahhhh, what a complete an utter disappointment Scotland was! Biblical rain and wind for two days, definately not photography weather :-(
I did get lucky with a quick uninterrupted blast over the Duke's Pass, an amazingly twisty road where third gear is the only gear! Fantastic. It stopping raining for about 10 mins whilst I did that and took this piccy. Other than that, thoroughly depressed!

Note the lovely old Victorian town houses (now offices) with the railings and steps to the left. These are the only ones left in the town of this type.
