Kate Middleton had such a beautiful smile as she greeted the crowds in front of the Tall Ship she and her husband Prince William just got off in Victoria's Inner Harbour. It was surreal seeing them in person. She is a stunning beauty.

Windsor Castle was Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II's official London Residence. The Royal standard can be seen at the top left of the photo, meaning that The Queen was in residence on that day.

I took this before landing at Heathrow, back in 2016 on my way to the USA via London.

On Tuesday, 21st of July, the British Royals visited wonderful Heidelberg. I received the chance to take a picture of very beautiful Cate, duchess of Cambridge.

A new portrait of the Queen by expressionist painter Stephen B Whatley; completed just days before the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty's ascension to the throne, 6th February.

Entitled Queen Elizabeth II: Diamond Jubilee Tribute, the oil painting was inspired by a series of recent photographs and especially the artist's memory of meeting the Queen in 2004 at the Tower of London; 4 years after completion of 30 paintings he was commissioned to create - all of which are reproduced permanently throughout Tower Hill Underpass that leads to the Tower.

The Queen is depicted wearing the George IV Diadem; and Stephen's memory of studying the Crown Jewels in the Jewel House, for his Tower commission, was vivid; recapturing the sparkling sensations.

Stephen remembers Her Majesty 'glowing with a gentle humility and kindness...I wanted the painting to evoke both tenderness and strength - to be full of sparkles, in this Diamond Jubilee year...the gleam of the diamonds, the twinkle in the Queen's eyes'

Stephen previous Royal works, in a career of over 20 years, include paintings of Buckingham Palace for the Royal Collection - one of which hangs in the Palace - and tributes to the Queen's late sister Princess Margaret, and Prince William and Kate Middleton; prior to their Royal Wedding last year; while many celebrities have sat for a vibrant Whatley portrait - including actresses Julie Walters OBE, Barbara Windsor MBE, Dame Judi Dench & Sian Phillips CBE; & fashion designer Matthew Williamson.

The work of Stephen B Whatley is in private collections worldwide; and in public collections including the Royal Collection, Historic Royal Palaces, BBC Heritage & the London Transport Museum.

*UPDATE: the original portrait is to go on public show for the first time at the Olympia International Fine Art & Antiques Fair in London; June 7-17, 2012.

It was the village fair in Brockham this last weekend. To celebrate the arrival of the royal baby, they had babygro bunting decorating the village green!

We didn't go to the fair, but came across this scene while we were out this morning.

The building is the headquarters of two major Army commands: the London District and the Household Cavalry. The building is the formal entrance to St. James's Palace via St. James's Park. Only the monarch is allowed to drive through its central archway. Today Prince William and Princess Kate rode through the central archway on their royal carriage on the way to Buckingham Palace from Westminster Abbey.

Visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to The Fire Station, Sunderland.

The building used to be the former Dun Cow Street Fire Station. It was closed and stood derelict for 25 years. Now, it's being restored and turned into the cultural hub of the city. Phase one has been completed and phase two, the building of a brand new auditorium, starts later this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were invited to come along and perform the official opening as well as have a tour and talk to some of the youngsters and people who are part of the city's developing cultural network.

Did you hear the one about the princess who walks into a pub?

I don't think Simon, the manager of the Engine Room bar and bistro, can quite believe that's Princess Kate standing at the bar!
