Starting life as a community messageboard, Drupal has grown to become a powerful and flexible application open source framework for creating all types of websites. It is used for community building and social networking, e-commerce and brochure-ware sites, intranets and portals. Many large and popular websites are built on Drupal, including www.mtv.co.uk, www.greenpeace.co.uk, universalmusic.com/ and www.fastcompany.com/One of Drupals key strengths is its active developer community, which is constantly seeking ways to improve the project. The core of Drupal 7 is currently in development and, beside aiming to improve the interface for end users, the project is dropping support for PHP 4 and re-implementing its database abstraction layer.Drupal is reputed to have a steep learning curve, but in this session we aim to show developers how straight forward customisation of Drupal can be and how it can greatly speed up development. We will introduce you
to Drupals theme system, which allows you to modify almost all of Drupals output so that the HTML it outputs is the HTML that you, the developer, want.We will start with a static HTML page and take you through the steps to convert it to a Drupal theme, showing you on the way the functionality you get for free: content management, a comprehensive user system, caching, search, form validation and more.In fact, with hundreds of contributed modules available, which extend Drupals core functionality in any way imaginable, we will be merely touching upon what Drupal has to offer! This video was originally shared on blip.tv by phpcodemonkey with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0 license.
It was great to see all these folks that are playing with Drupal invade the So-Ho Coffee shop yesterday.

This is thanks to the l10n_client written by Gabor Hojtsy, which was touched with Young Hahn's magic wand and followed up with a backport to Drupal 5 by multilingual expert Jose Reyero.

Nedjo did an Intro to Drupal session (and I drove the laptop for him). He let some others take the stage to answer more questions from the audience. It was a great team effort and lots of Q & A.
Nedjo and Eduardo (-enzo- on Drupal.org, in the bright blue shirt standing at the back) both served as interpretors for me all day and I can not thank them enough for helping me out. Also, big thanks to Growing Venture Solutions (gvs) who sponsored Eduardo's trip to the camp!

Here is a little SMS Drupal module that Jeff just built for SaveROE.com's new SMS campaign. This module plugs into Mobile Accord's API and allows for opting into the campaign via a web form. Essentially it is the online component to their short code campaign.
It's cool because it works on a node by node basis - meaning that we can run multiple campaigns with different campaign IDs and short codes off the same site.
Still some cleaning up to do - we need to have path aliasing working and need to upgrade it to 4.7 and 5.0. Once that is done we will get this into CSV as soon as possible. Right now it is a good test :).

I need to think of an interface for creating relationships between Drupal nodes.
My intention is that the user will manually choose to create the relationship, and the module that controls the relationship type will automatically create any back-relationships (if required).
For example, if I created a "duplicate" relationship between two issues in project module, then I'd expect the duplicate node to have a matching relationship pointing back again.
