The Cerberus - named so for it's three bulbed viewscreen up front - is the standard issue American dropship and short haul troop transport. It has adaptable, VTOL style thrusters and is easy to fly in open space and atmosphere both but come unstuck during an attack on the 'undercity' of Yystret IV shortly after it's rollout to the USEF.
Up until this mission the Cerberus had a faultless operational record, but the USEF special forces were overconfident in it's ability to operate in the confines of a half-buried city. In reality, the three ships had to drop their troops two klicks from their target and this exposed the SEAL team to enemy fire and a hostile approach. The vessels were fired upon and one crashed whilst trying to remain on station during the mission, whilst the remaining two struggled to reach the landing zone for evacuation.
The manufacturers were quick to shift blame onto poor tactical decisions for this outcome but such a warning did little to prevent a slowdown in military orders. The USEF built the mission into their virtual combat training protocols as a challenge for graduating pilots to prevent and escape; most candidates fail and are marked on how well they deal with catastrophe.
Several updates were issued to software and hydraulics to improve reliability into the Fourth Age and the Cerberus sees use with the US Marines and some of the boarding and landing forces of the USEF. Although the stock version is unarmed, it is nimble and armoured enough to survive in heavy fire zones with the right type of escort.
The UNSC Pelican is one of my favorite dropships from any sci-fi. I tried to mix the Halo: Reach and the Halo 2: Anniversary Pelican (Which looks stunning).
This thing has been on my bucket list for a while. Last year I bought some sand green parts to update another model (Photos of that to come later), and I ended up making a wing with some of the extra pieces. A few orders and after moving, I finally finished this thing.
I do wish I had spent more time on the coloring. In person this looks great, but in photos it does Come across a bit bland.
Outrider Dropship Attack was on sale for $5 so I picked up another for the minifig parts. Used it to upgrade Captain America (Bucky Barnes) and Starforce Captain Marvel. Thoughts?

The hangar is quite playable. A ramp for loading the Galaxy Dropship and a hatch for the mechanics are not the only gimmicks. You can attach the plasma and the fuel tank to the hangar.
Dropship from the future
Here is my latest creation, which i am pretty stoked about myself, if i may say so.......
I imagined a ship from a future faction, can you guess which?
The build is made to minifig scale, and there is a cargo hold, with a working ramp, and it is prepared to hold 1 to 3 pilots/technicians. There is space for a 6 stud wide vehicle in the hold if it is not very high.
Engine nacelles can rotate, and also pivot to a small degree, but only manually operated.
I had built a landing gear, but it was too fragile to hold the model, maybe i can fix it at a later time.
There will come more photos when i have prepared them, so as to show more angles and overall proportions.
Can you spot the Fabuland piece, it is partly visible!
Plz feel free to comment, (guess the faction) and......
Enjoy
It's no secret that Destiny, while a very fun game, is radically different to how it was conceived. I find perusing Destiny's concept art to be an entertaining pursuit though, since there's some cool stuff that almost made it into the game. Take this ship, for example. In the concept art, it's the above colour scheme, belonging to a faction (Forces Of The City) that was cut from the game. In-game, the white portions are light grey, it's unarmed, and all it does it fly around the main social space.
Now that doesn't stop it looking really freaking cool, so I built it anyway. It's a very interesting design, I love all the wings and fins. Plenty of fun angles too. The wings rotate for landing, and the built-in landing gear forms two of three points. The third is the landing leg at the back. Alas, it can't support it's own weight, but you can barely see the transparent bricks I propped it upon anyway...
Finding decent reference pics of this was surprisingly hard. I went and sat in the Tower for a while and took screenshots as they flew past me, but the rear of this beast is a well-kept secret. There is actually one of these parked in the Lighthouse, the PvP tryhard-only social space, but I haven't been there in years, so I had to watch some kid's youtube video boasting that he was there, muting it, and then pausing it when his character was anywhere near the rear of the ship. So yeah, it's reasonably accurate. That being said, I got a good few reference pics from artstation: cdn1.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/001/208/901/la...
Enjoy, let me know what you think, you know the drill. There may be a video to come, but I need to shave first. And collect my thoughts so I don't just ramble on...
(Check the very end of the photoset if you want to see the sorcery that I used to make the front/cockpit work, and a few other cutaway bits.)
The C-37 Bulwark Dropship was a heavy-duty dropship, originally designed to drop cargo in the heat of battle. Unfortunately the heavy hull and fortifications imposed serious limitations, such as speed and maneuverability, that killed the project before it saw action. However, it was put in production, which meant several hundred ships were made, just to be auctioned off to various local militia, and security agencies. Although not efficient in battle, the ship was incredibly durable, and could take a serious beating. The ship's durability, combined with its relatively simple compact hull system, that allowed for easy modifications, made the ship a sought after commodity for cargo runners.

This clunky starfighter started out as nothing more that the target of the TIE Scythe, but I kinda grew to like it. also got to do a lot of experimenting with DBG on my dropship - this will come in handy for another Imperial ship I have planned.
Let me know what you think. ;) Thank you for watching!

Based off Ukitakumuki's excellent concept for Space Vagabonds.
The Nidhogg is a trans-atmospheric dropship. The tandem pilots are seated behind an armoured canopy, whilst 6 troops can comfortably fit inside the transport.
Armed with a 30mm autocannon up front and a 35mm sniper cannon at the rear for tougher opponents. The dropship also features an impressive countermeasures array, as well as a detachable scout UAV for further threat elimination.

I decorated tihs MOC with water-soluble pencil crayons from Farber Castell to make it look more real.
My third dropship.
The best feature: It is swooshable! (when grabbed in front of tail or under both main wings)
The second best feature: It has noseart!
And the fail feature - above the rear door, there is a winch. But it is nearly impossible reel it back without disassembling the top section of the ship. :(
A squad of Series 13 Galaxy Troopers exit a dropship on their latest mission. These troopers are the best the galaxy has to offer and are ready to jump into action at a moments notice!
Imperial Dropship:
A scrapped idea from last year that I thought I'd try and finish. My own take on set 7667: Imperial Dropship.
Mostly incorporating a lot of Tie Fighter elements.
Here is some more pics of my Red Dropship, from a now foregone future empire...... kind of!!
These last months has'nt been in the sign of Lego so as some of you guys has requested, more pics of the build. Enjoy! ☺
I spent so many hours trying to get the shape on this closer to the reference pics I had. Whilst it looks similar, this thing has had a major workout. It's better than it was but there are still 2 places that need problem solving.
That crossover is a p.i.t.a!
At the moment this is a functional build. All guns move as they should , the landing gear lowers and raises and the ramp lowers via a hinge to let the apc stow.
I'm leaving this build for a bit, as it's taken way too much of my time over the last week. I have a moc in mind but it can wait 'till I get some pieces and some better lighting.

My lego helghast dropship it is now a long time finished
but i have never make a photo from the ship
sadly it is a little bit to big for a small vigs
thats why i can't used it at the moment for a picture
but i want to put it in the future in a picture for a bigger vig .
I'm LOVING the world building of Andor.
And Ambush on Ferrix, (LEGO set 75338), is absolutely gorgeous, and a marvel of engineering.
No, really, look at those subtle angles. So complex, yet so refined. A joy to build, and aspiting MOC makers will learn a ton.
Seriously, check it out.

A little something I build during the year. It was a first experiment with PF functions that went pretty well and taught me a lot.
Functions are:
- rotating rotors
- 4 linked rotating propulsors
- opening/closing side doors
- lights on front "wings"
The custom made Low Altitude Gunships (LAGs) of the Emberforged Brigade provide troop provision and fire support in extremely close quarters.

Not the best picture, and I now realize the left side was unsnapped a little, that's what happens when you drop your moc on the way to the photo setup! ;) However, I'm quite happy with how it turned out! Sci-fi interiors are completely new ground for me. :)
As work continues on the construction and maintenance of imperal dropships 2 inperal knights discuss the strengths and weaknesses if the new ships.
Its finally done!
Clocking in at 89(ish) studs, this is easily one of my largest creations (my 2015 SHIPtember SHIP was about 25 studs longer than this).
It was originally going to be a SHIP, but as many people pointed out in my WIP's, it was out of proportion when it was 100 studs long.
I based this off of Greg Broadmore's concept art of the District 9 ship: www.gregbroadmore.com/imgpg.php?page=208.
I'm extremely satisfied with how this came out, especially with all of the angles, colors, and general structural integrity. My favorite part has got to be either the landing pods or the front of the ship.
Now I would like to say the thank you's. :)
Thank you to Vakkron, 4estFeller, Simon Liu, Noel Peterson, Lee Barton, Sioka Sculpting, and all the rest of you for encouraging me, critiquing my WIP's (which was painful at times, but in the end I'm very grateful), and helping me push through till the end. I wouldn't have been able to make this as good as it is without your guy's help, (at least I'm hoping it's good... ;) ).
So enough rambling, you guys rock, and I hope that you all like my latest MOC!
Comments, critiques, and criticism would all be appreciated!
Soli Deo Gloria!
A planetary dropship in service with the Rigellian Space Navy. Capable of hauling a variety of heavy cargoes to and from orbit, it is pictured here carrying a universal APC ready for deployment.
Designed to drop men and materiel at high speed into hostile environments, the dropship is equipped with an air-to-ground rail gun on the starboard airfoil and a rotating turret on the port side to engage close range targets. The central, high mounted cockpit affords the two crewmembers a commanding view of the battlefield; whilst the overpowered reactor permits rapid descent and ascent back to orbit.
Just a quick update on my dropship, for those who want it :)
Due to being on holiday last week, I didn't have access to this, and so, since I've been back I have only managed to smooth out the top front area. But hey, it's progress :D
Look at the latest pic of this dropship if you wanna see its awesome shaping (side view).
