This common tern in Chichester Harbour had caught the fish by diving, flew with it across the beak, dropped it and caught it in mid-air lined up with its beak and then swallowed it! The high key image reveals the ring band on the leg.

Sorry, just me who think that faded colours and water drops forming from mist is just as much autumn as the bright colours.. ;)
Flickr is good also couse you can follow some good advices from your contacts such in this case suggestion was to crop the image to give more relevance to the drop. My initial idea was to have the amount of dof as a contrast to the sharpness of drop but somehow the bokeh of dof was actually distracting. Thank you for your advice Herbert and Nancy

A shot of some random dudes (who were much better skiers than me) dropping a little cornice on the way up to Silverton's iconic Billboard. One helluva playground!

Like many former Seaboard Air Line routes, their line to Macon was built with fairly minimal grading with the tracks laid right on top of the rolling hills. Now the Georgia Central after being spun-off by CSX in the late 1980s, that roller coaster profile is readily apparent as westbound L782 rolls through tiny Danville in the golden light of a late summer afternoon. Nice bit of luck getting most recently painted on the roster leading while the G&W heritage paint was still spotlessly fresh.
Using my friend Don's flash rig, this is my first and only attempt at a water drop shot. Shot with a Canon G11 !
A few years ago, pre-Pano-Sabotage and any use of the iPhone as camera on my part, I got up at dawn one very cold, hard Winter morning to capture the heavy snowfall in the cemetery just down the street. It turned out to be a fantastically bright and clear morning, which meant it was dangerously cold.
Using my ( now ) old, Canon Rebel XS, I took a series of about 50 shots. As the sun rose some of the snow started to drop off the higher branches of the trees it had so beautifully covered. So I got the bulk of my shots in before this happened. It was a tough shoot and I had to go nurse a roaring hot cup of coffee after, but the images were worth the near-frostbite. I couldn't believe that my Canon didn't seize up.
Two SOOC images of window frost as a backdrop and framing device with 3 unmanipulated SOOC photographs all shot at the same time.

These were the pics that almost cost me my brand new laptop when I stupidly dropped it out of car into a puddle of slushy snow - didnt have the heart to look at the pics until this evening
Taught by her grandma who is a generation cowgirl/trick rider SOOC It's all in the genes in this case. I still believe you're born loving horses or not. Others might contradict me and that's fine :)
