Every year we do a school supply drive, the outreach coordinator for the city schools mentioned that underwear & socks are a big need for the younger (preschool -3rd) kids.

This is a water drop, pretty obviously. Water is fantastic in my opinion. Made up of the simplest molecule in the universe and the most important one to human life it has unique properties such as being less dense as a solid than a liquid (thats why ice floats), plus it does get rid of thirst.
An annoying shot really. I snuck out in between terrential showers and found a bucket beside the gutter that was being dripped into. 100 shots later I gave up and went away...

Day 38 of 365 of my mostly365.com participation.
Today I decided to try dropping things into water. One issue I found was that the vase I used was not really wide enough plus I don't have a decent flash so I was pretty limited by the light.
I used a piece of A4 photo paper curled around the built in pop up flash to defuse it. It took me ages to time the dropping of the bottle right lol.
I had great fun doing this and will be giving this another go at some point :)
Frame 1: I start into a steep spiral dive
Frame 2: Spiral gets very scary and it locks in (the maneuver is called a "death spiral" at this point)
Frame 3: I drop the camera to grab the other brake toggle to stop the spiral before I pound into the ground and die. The tether that should let it dangle from my harness breaks and camera falls to earth.
Frame 4: 30 minutes later... Found it! Does it still work? Looks like it does!
I have a tether attached to my XShot extender so I can safely drop my GoPro/XShot combo at any time. I have eased it down gently in the past and it held just fine. Today when I dropped it abruptly, the keychain ring that was holding it to the tether bent and came off the XShot, probably from the abrupt drop and g-forces of the spiral dive combined. The GoPro HD Hero survived a drop to earth of at least 300+ feet. The XShot did not survive.
