Dear diary,
Today the new recruits had to practice using a sea jet near the abandoned temple ... disastrous! John got stuck in the sea weed, Sam almost hit Sara and Lisa even succeeded in crashing hers.
Helga was excused from todays lesson ... her hair did not fit our standard diving helmet ... we're still looking for a suitable replacement.

The three lads crewing the engine asked me to take thier pictures on the engine on their phones, having done that they allowed me the experience of going on the footplate of the Jinty, the first time I've ever been on a live steam loco. This was the view the driver and crew get from the window on the front of the cab
Various Wiking farm and construction vehicles, plus a station luggage unit and a hand cart. Those on the top two rows are earlier than the bottom row where the upright lean drivers of the Wirtschaftswunder years seem to have been replaced by overweight, round-shouldered ones of the 1970s – plastic drivers as social commentary on the part of Wiking Modellbau?

A (former) New Boston landmark, Sunday Driver Rock was well known in the area for many years. Unfortunetly, sometime after I took this picture (2001) the sign was painted over. No one was sure who originally painted the rock, but the sign was there from at least the early 90's till 2001.

The Volvo Laplander L3314 is the base model of a range of military vehicles produced by Volvo.
In the early 1950s Volvo received an order to develop a new utility vehicle for the Swedish Army. A pre-run series of 90 vehicles, named the L2304, was delivered between 1959 and 1961. Full scale deliveries of the somewhat improved L3314 began in 1963.
The L33-series was offered with different body-variants such as hard-top, half-cab, soft-top, or special versions mounting anti-tank weapons. All vehicles are forward control (where the cab is located over the front axle), except the open L3304.
The L33-series is employed by civilians for rescue services and private use. Many L3314s have been sold as military surplus and are used by off-road enthusiasts.

Penny spotted the rover first, but her friendly flyover was met with a missile lock. Its driver appeared to be Benny, but a harder, tougher Benny with a cyborg claw arm. But not so tough that the two Bennys didn't shout "ROVER!" together upon meeting. His story was similar to Benny's, except that he'd only been wherever they were for a few days. Benny and Penny began talking with him about combining rovers, which they agreed would take some time. But Blaine was lost in thought. All the wrecked rovers, the racing rover from the past, and now Benny... from the future? An alternate timeline? There were too many strange questions, and still no answers.

Manchester Piccadilly, and the driver climbs aboard 1V39, the TfW 10:30 departure to Cardiff Central on 2nd August 2023.
Around 50 train drivers from different provinces assembled today in Misr Station, Ramses, shortly after 12 noon. The drivers denounced the results of the morning meeting held with the management, and threatened to block the 2pm Turbini train (the same one that was stopped the previous year).
The state-owned Railway Authorities told the drivers’ representatives that their demands to raise the incentives from 11pt to 25pt per kilometer, were rejected.
Following the protest, and the threat to block the trains, the chief of police in station negotiated with the drivers, who only suspended their assembly around 1:40pm, awaiting the results of another meeting promised by the govt on 24 November.
The drivers threatened to launch a strike on 25 November if their demands are not met.
