7am up and shower walked Goldie.
8am breakfast
9am launderette with all wet clothes. £5
10.45 am X2 bus to Douglas - driver Ian.
Went to Barclay's to empty box from Ireland - £43.47.
We walked along Douglas promenade, through sunken gardens to Gaiety Theatre.
12.14 No 3 bus to Ramsey - driver Ray.
Walked around Ramsey harbour and over bridge to promenade and seafront.
Back to bus station to get Bus No.17 via Jurby (junk) and Andreas and back to Ramsey - met Lesley from birmingham on bus.
3pm back in Ramsey.
3.15pm bus No. 20 - to Bride and Point of Ayre and back to Ramsey for 4pm
Met Ken driver who had already been on website.
4.05pm No. 3 bus to Douglas

5.05pm X1 bus to Port Erin. State of the art new bus with CCTV on - only short of seat belts.
Had a walk at Port Erin and then dinner at 6,30pm - leek & potato soup, pollack and veg , rhubarb crumble and coffee. (Chef Vic)
Walked Goldie and so to bed.

Aftermath, Truck lost control at the Holmston Roundabout (Ayr) and rolled over ejecting it’s load of animal carcasses. Fortunately the driver only suffered minor injury's, and it happened early on so no pedestrians were around.

Freightliner Class 90s, 90 049 and 90 044 ease the 4S44 Daventry (DRIFT) to Coatbridge intermodal working into Platform 12 of Crewe station for a driver change.
90044 - one of three FL 90s still in Railfreight grey liveries which have seen far better days - had only recently returned to service after c.9 months out of action at Crewe Basford Hall awaiting/undergoing repair (wheelset issues I believe).
Subsequent to this photo being taken 90044 moved onto the Sleepers (on Monday 23rd July) where it worked a Lowlander service then a stint on the Carstairs portion - suggesting all is going well so far with its return to active use.
