So I don't know if anyone watched the Sopranos as religiously as I did, but this shot was completely in the opening credits. So when we were on the turnpike and I saw it I basically flipped and lunged for the camera. Not the best shot, but still, awesome.

At the eastern end of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.

  

Our plan was to hike some in Muir Woods National Monument, but the same agenda was seemingly on the minds of most every German, Japanese, and British tourist in the Bay Area, not to mention many of the resident families. We didn't penetrate the monument past the entrance station, but we did walk some and then retreated to a very fine lunch at the Dipsea Cafe in Mill Valley.

FRANKFORT – July 20, 2012. Governor Pat Quinn today signed four new laws to improve road safety across Illinois by reducing speeding and distracted driving. The governor was joined by legislators, community leaders and families of crash victims to enact Julie’s Law, named after a Chicago-area crash victim, and several additional laws that restrict cell phone usage in school and construction zones. Today’s action is the latest by Governor Quinn to increase safety on Illinois roads and highways.

I knew him as a waiter in a restaurant I frequented, ten years ago. He was killed in an accident after I moved out of the area. When I returned today, I found this memorial at the intersection.

 

I've seen many roadside memorials, but never one like this.
