1979 Chrysler LeBaron Medallion Cartoon Car !

For the month of April in the 2012 AutoWeek Magazine/Rad Rides by Troy calendar, I sketched a modern interpretation of an IMSA/Can Am-style Corvette, tucked away in a warehouse setting, to give a back-alley brawler type feel. I opted o design a full body kit for this rendering, versus off-the-shelf parts.

One of the twelve illustrations I created for the 2012 AutoWeek Magazine / Rad Rides by Troy / Studio PCK calendar, which launched at the 2011 SEMA Show.

For this Mercedes, I opted to play with a vintage Trans Am feel, opening the grille shell, pushing the wheels out, and playing with a hard-core, stripped-down race feel.

Illustrator artwork, starting with pencil sketch as always...

Finishing-up posting the works from my 'Walking Around' series from 2011, this time, the tasty '65 pickup lurks down a gloomy alley. I had a blast creating the dark environments, and playing off of the sinister nature in each of the vehicles... Combination of digital and analog work (Illustrator, Photoshop and airbrush/ink on paper). Thanks for looking in!

One of the pieces I knocked out while feeling some direction for the AutoWeek 2012 calendar project. I placed a mild kustom '55 Pontiac on the street, and played with some attempts to create a snowy night. Pushing Illustrator for all it's worth...

Another of the twelve illustrations I created for the 2012 AutoWeek Magazine / Rad Rides by Troy / Studio PCK calendar, which launched at the 2011 SEMA Show... This time, a tribute-styled Ferrari 458 on classic Borrani-style wires, egg-crate grille, some rounded headlamps and air ducts... and orange w/gold stripes paint.

I set it on a spaghetti western-style backdrop, just because.

Plein-air sketching a friend's truck.

Continuing my series of cars scattered throughout a fictional city... A contemporary custom '57 Ford meets up with the A-Tona, a slammed Dodge packing a blown HEMI, mounted mid-ship as darkness falls... A ton of fun deigning both cars, and then telling some tales with them.

Rendering design for a custom 1962 Ford Falcon project.

Another of the dozen cars I illustrated for the 2012 AutoWeek Magazine/Rad Rides by Troy calendar, this time, a full-on 370-Z. I opted to take the tuner look a bit further, and played-up the cartoony proportions, and set it all in a a gloomy setting to let the car pop a bit.
