Another drawing from my Anneé Oloffson sketchbook . Start wirh pencil and for final used red wine and coffee again.

wasn't feeling very inspired this weekend so today's sketch is a Tezuka character--not sure of the characters name though.

Sketch based on a shadow from a pint glass

"Number 0180"

Another pen line sketch re-drawn in Illustrator.

"comforting to doodle", I told myself when I asked why I was drawing this last night, 01-19-2011. I'm nervous, can't stand the aloneness of writing only, so today I'm off to brave the 3 hour train-bus-bus-train commute between my writing cave and the nearest ceramic art / pottery studio with space for new members, wish me luck, here's to art.

Bad attempt at a self portrait.

Drawing 35: ventilation strip in international train, pencil in Moleskine.

Felt tip. Anyone remember felt tips? Paper Mate makes 'em. Just an ordinary pen. Probably not acid free and all that jazz. Fades over time...at least more than Sharpie. I don't think they are permanent. But, they were the chosen special pen of my father. It was always a treat if I could talk him into letting me use one of his felt tips. Felt tips are probably responsible for my ever drawing in the first place. Ooodles of doodles in felt tip. I keep a few around my house in honor of my dad. They are mostly dried out...I need some new ones. I placed one in the drawer of his desk last night as I was looking for one that wasn't so dried out. Right where it would have been back when I was a child. I am lucky to have his desk.

"Infektion" Infection. It looks like a shield of an african warrior. But it's the shape of the pill, my doc gave me for my infection.

Now more empty paper sheets in the house this morning. So I took a book I did years ago for a swedish artist. The text columns are short newspaper articles about people taken away by sudden death. The background shows hardly to see light shaded photos of the artists childhood comparisons. I used the shadows as inspiration for the character sketches.

This was going to be a fresh & colourful drawing. Dont know why it turned darker and darker. I almost destroyed the paper as you can see when enlarged. I was not even in a bad mood.

Her hair was so blond and so curly and the wind was blowing it all around her face.

Based on a picture I did last summer.
