I was intrigued by this tree because it is almost completely in tact. It drifted ashore so the thought of a fully in tact tree being tossed and forced under water seemed really cool. The lines created from the branches point towards the upper right corner but the clouds move you back across to the left.

Of all my sunset pictures this is my absolute favorite. I love how the light catches the remains of a vapor trail, reminds me of a lightning streak.

This is from a week or so ago. As I left work, the sun was getting low in the sky and giving off that lovely slanty light glow it does. At the same time, we had some very dark clouds The contrasts were quite mesmerizing. I only had a point and shoot with me, but tried to capture a bit of the effect.
