WOW! 2021 is starting off right where 2020 ended. I think we ALL need to stop listening to those that are planting these seeds of anger in our heads towards each other...specifically these criminal lifelong politicians and learn to love each other once again. We are ALL different which is what makes humans so awesome!
"Only love can bring the rain
That makes you yearn to the sky
Only love can bring the rain
That falls like tears from on high
Love, reign o'er me
Rain on me, rain on me
Love, reign o'er me
Rain on me, rain on me"
-- The Who (1973)
Today the good people of Alabama face an excruciatingly difficult decision. They have to figure out whether it would be a bad idea to elect someone who has been credibly accused of using his political power to sexually assault and harass girls as young as 14 years of age. Of course if they choose not to vote for Roy Moore they might be giving up on the chance to make America great again. You know, "when families were united — even though we had slavery — they cared for one another…. Our families were strong, our country had a direction." So there you have it. If they choose not to send a likely child molester to Congress they might lose out on the chance to "shake up the establishment" and "drain the swamp" by electing someone who opines that getting rid of all of the amendments after the Tenth would "eliminate many problems." I do hope that the citizens of Alabama are able to resolve this moral dilemma for the ages. This is the United States in 2017.
To make sure that I am not misunderstood, I don't really think that this is a difficult decision. The fact that someone like Roy Moore has a strong chance of being elected to the US Senate tells us something terrible about the state of the country at this point in time. Of course it can't be too much of a surprise given the current resident of the Oval Office...
Update: it looks like Alabama came through on this one. It's hard to get too excited when the margin of victory is barely over one percent, but it's a start. Congratulations to everyone who worked hard on Doug Jones' campaign. I would also like to say thank you to all the people who chose decency and respect in this election even when it meant going against some of their ideological commitments.
Just a shot of the crowd and all their many signs. We are truly the 98% and we should not allow the 2% billionaires create policies that oppress us even further after they steal our tax dollars and don't pay their fare share! Our money should go to public education and services-parks, libraries, transportation for the common good not to bankers and businessmen.
I am expecting the March for Science this coming Saturday, April 22cnd to be about 100x larger.
See if there's a march near you..

It's back again! I thought our fearless leader drained the swamp but if he did, here it is back again. This summer brought new growths of blue green algae, all the various news releases to the posted warnings are back again. I wonder how people rate the results of the warnings of a swamp and also rate the drainage job. Especially when Azar, responsible for doubling insulin prices, heads HHS, and the ilk of Mnuchin who robo-signed thousands of Californians out of their homes is in charge of our money? Really? The entire raft of them, grifters all are like this raft of algae is taking it's toll!
Well, the ducks liked it and I still had unedited versions and could avoid a Donnie Corona gathering trek to Golden Ponds. Unfortunately the entire American populace needs to duck from the grifters.
Consider the pond in the heat of summer and warnings to avoid the blue-green algae on the media. Kind of like warnings of herd immunity when they really mean herd stupidity - just in time, Colorado State University finally finished their analysis of the IQ of cattle... This capture was lurking in my unedited directory for a while. No wading here for any reason - and they talk about regreening the world Sheesh! Regreening enough? A warning of the Don Corona infestation that was to come back again in 2020?
The streams in the Rockies are perfect for wading (and fly fishing) especially now that the heat is boring into the valley. I was ready to jump in a stream a couple days ago but I am cowering inside lately. Historic Longmonters bailed for mountain cabins for much of the early day summers. So much for my sitting inside uninsulted brick walls trying to make Windows - 10 work - to little avail. In my last 8 months, I have packed 2 1/2 years of work into trying to make Win 10 useful. Bupkis! I can learn Linux faster. Linux or walk away. I have a working backup of Windows 7 that MickySoft left unfinished like all of their OSes. It worked fairly well for years if you practiced annoyance and danger avoidance.
