The first Sonic movie had become a success and during the release date period, five LTs (LT212/LT367/LT617/LT764/LT966) had worn an all-over advert promoting the first movie and its release date of February 14 2020. Fast forward to April and the sequel had been released. The second all-over advert had been applied in mid-March on LT240/LT484/LT492/LT755/LT965 and features Tails and Knuckles, who'll appear in the movie.

The US release date arrives (April 8th), but it's another picture of the advert which said in cinemas last week. Won't be much longer until the adverts disappear.

Always enjoyed the character, but never got much further than Green Hill Zone when it came to gameplay.

But hey, I’m all about that nostalgia!

LEGO Ideas sets have some next-level packaging and instructions. Really good looking stuff

This set was manifestly straightforward, with many 1x1 plates. The building process helped my frustrations of having weeks-long Studio shutdown.

There are stickers, not a ton, but somewhat not the greatest around the central loop.

Biggest complaint for this set is Dr Tobotnik’s face. The gaps on the 2x2 circular elements, especially above the nose, take away a lot from an otherwise great character build. Maybe a snot technique or a custom head mold would’ve elevated the look.

It’s a nice display piece, fits in it’s box when completed - one of my favorite aspects of some of the Ideas Sets, as it makes for easy storage if you want to rotate displays

GET A LOAD OF THIS

(no he ain't called "Eggman". Robotnik sounds cooler, so there)

I was in downtown Toronto Canada a couple of weeks ago and remembered this alley where I found some graffiti on a previous visit. I checked it out & there was a whole new mural.

First and most obviously!

...I mean "1991" here. Not "2006" :P

--------

Sonic The Hedgehog to me. Was a "system seller". I first played Sonic The Hedgehog at my friend Lorna's house (next door neighbour/ friend when I was about 5 or 6).

At the time I played Sonic at my friends house I just had my NES, and my Super Nintendo...

So the day I played this game was also the day I was EXPOSED to the legendary "SAAAYGAAAA"! Which also made it the day to which I would divide my love for Nintendo with another console and company (whom I still respect massively to this day, regardless).

Onto the game itself though. Sonic The Hedgehog was an amazing platform game that just exploded onto the scene with a totally new pace of play compared to much slower platformers at the time. Yet the game didn't rely on speed as a novelty to make it 'different'. Sonic The Hedgehog excelled for great level design and multiple branching paths within levels which were also very uncommon at the time.

Sonic also had a decent but fair element of challenge throughout the game, paired with 2 endings (the better one for managing to beat all bonus stages and collecting all emeralds).

In fact I believe I was still coming back to Sonic 1 to finally complete it even by the time I was loving up the sequels.

Oh and of course, let's not forget the truly amazing soundtrack this game had. Songs I still adore and get stuck in my head too this very day.

Shout outs go to the Gamegear/ Master System version too, albeit slightly different, it was still a great game.

My bad for the perhaps a tad inappropriate underwear exposure...but it had to be done >_<

**This year also marks the 20th Anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog. I'll be highlighting the 10th anniversary on another day though ;)**

yep. robuttnick, as the hedgehoggian natives call him.

The other day, I personally saw Sonic sabotage Robotnik's little car, turning some gears I couldn't see. Next thing we knew, Mr.Eggman was sputtering and grumbling angrily at the cranky machine, his scowl etched on permanently. We laughed and smacked our knees, as he clankered away, mumbling about how one stinking emerald isn't worth all this.

So, my new camera is faring well. I spent a good portion of yesterday walking down with the sunset again, this time Canon in hand. Stunning, stunning pictures. I'll definitely be putting some up very soon. Otherwise, it was a lonely afternoon. I missed my kidnapped patch of pink. ♥ Its not fair when other girls get to have her, as much as it really is.
