"When you're alone, and life is making you lonely
You can always go
Downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know
Downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure
Downtown everything's waiting for you."
Lovely Winterset, Iowa -- boyhood home of John Wayne and site of the covered bridges of Madison County -- on a late summer evening.
And who does not remember Petula Clark's song? youtu.be/Zx06XNfDvk0
I saw this old office building while walking around downtown looking for interesting photos. Really liked the look it had. Color was nice but black and white gave it such a different mood/vibe that I like much more.

I don't think this is the downtown that Petula was singing about.

UP 2204 and two other UP SD60s are the power for the A&S 201 job, seen here descending from the MacArthur Bridge into downtown St. Louis, MO. Typically this trio is found powering the A&S 102 job, but here they are on a different one.. Perhaps this may become a bit more common? I'd be alright with it.
