The morning Sun light brightens my day :-)
Photo taken on one of the paths at Craigavon Lakes, Co.Armagh.
The past is behind, learn from it. The future is ahead, prepare for it. The present is here, live it.
What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment.
and it is at this moment you create the present and the future that will be the past to someone else

Taken one evening when I was camping at Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.
Ballyshannon, which means "The Mouth of Seannach's Ford", after a fifth century warrior Seannach, who was slain here, lies at the mouth of the river Erne. Just west of the town the Erne widens and its waters meander over a long sandy estuary. The northern bank of the river rises steeply away from the riverbank, while the southern bank is flat with a small cliff that runs parallel to the river. From its idyllic setting the town looks out over the estuary and has panoramic views of mountains, lakes and forests.
The morning of 21st December and the faithfull followers of the Solstice Sunrise go to Newgrange to greet the first of the suns rays ,its not always guaranteed that the weather will be on your side to see the sun that day but on this day 21st December 2007 everything was perfect and the sun rose in spectacular fashon.
Inspired by Tom Waits' song "The Piano Has Been Drinking (Not Me) (An Evening with Pete King)"
The piano has been drinking, my necktie is asleep
And the combo went back to new york, the jukebox has to take a leak
And the carpet needs a haircut, and the spotlight looks like a prison break
And the telephone's out of cigarettes, and the balcony is on the make
And the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
And the menus are all freezing, and the light man's blind in one eye
And he can't see out of the other
And the piano-tuner's got a hearing aid, and he showed up with his mother
And the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
As the bouncer is a sumo wrestler cream-puff Casper milktoast
And the owner is a mental midget with the i.q. of a fence post
Cause the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
And you can't find your waitress with a Geiger counter
And she hates you and your friends and you just can't get served without her
And the box-office is drooling, and the bar stools are on fire
And the newspapers were fooling, and the ash-trays have retired
Cause the piano has been drinking, the piano has been drinking
The piano has been drinking, not me, not me, not me, not me, not me.

Heavily influenced by Double Vision of Woolly Thoughts. Finished sewing together strips for an experiment in color. Take 10 yarn colors and try to make as many combinations of color as you can. The knitting is two strands held together and this led to some interesting color discoveries.

The view from my tent as I enjoyed a cool beer with my husband Kim, Falcarragh, Co.Donegal, Ireland.
As the evening sky faded from a salmon color to a sort of flint gray, I thought back to the salmon I caught that morning, and how gray he was, and how I named him Flint.

This Girl Danced with her Fire Hoop as we watched the Solstice Sunrise appear over the horizan at Newgrange she was part of the Save Tara Group which had been at Tara all night and had come over to Newgrange for the Solstice she twisted and turned engulfed in her passion for the Solstice for a good five minutes as the sun broke through the haze and the clouds, and only stopped when the fire went out on her fire hoop ,it was a joy to watch and i shared her passion with her .

Dowth Passage Tomb, Co.Meath, 21st of June, 2008
Dowth (Irish: Dubhadh) is a Neolithic passage tomb which stands in the Boyne Valley, Co Meath, Ireland. It is found at [show location on an interactive map] 53°42′10.5″N, 6°26′57″W.
It is the oldest of the three principal tombs of the Brú na Bóinne ("mansion on the Boyne") complex of passage-tombs (the others being Newgrange and Knowth). It is less developed as a tourist attraction than its neighbours, partly because the chamber is much lower, and partly because the decoration is poorer. It was partly excavated in 1847 though it had been pillaged (by Vikings and earlier looters) long before that.
The cairn or tumulus is about 90 metres in diameter and 15 metres high, and surrounded by kerbstones, some of which are decorated. Quartz was found fallen outside the kerbing, showing that the entrance to this tomb was surrounding by glittering white, as at Newgrange. Three stone-lined passages lead into the mound from the west.
The long passage is crossed by 3 sill-stones and ends in a cruciform (cross-shaped) chamber with a lintelled (not corbelled as in Newgrange or Knowth) roof. Several of the orthostats (upright stones) of passage and chamber are decorated with spirals, chevrons, lozenges and rayed circles. On the floor stands a single stone basin - somewhat the worse for wear after 5,000 years. The right-hand arm of the cross leads into another long rectangular chamber with an L-shaped extension entered over a low sill. This may be the earliest part of the tomb, later brought within the design of the cruciform tomb. It is floored with a 2.4 metre long flagstone containing an oval bullaun (artificial depression). Until recently the cruciform tomb was reached by climbing down a ladder in an iron cage, and crawling about over loose stones. Now, access is restricted, and all the features are guarded by metal grilles.
A kerbstone with cup-marks, a spiral and a flower-like design marks the entrance to the second, smaller tomb - with modern concrete roof. This tomb has a few decorated stones, and a single, massive right-hand recess.
At the entrance to the passage of the cruciform tomb is an early medieval souterrain.
Dowth shares a special solar celebration with neighbouring Newgrange during the winter solstice. From November to February the rays of the evening sun reach into the passage and then the chamber of Dowth South. During the winter solstice the light of the low sun moves along the left side of the passage, then into the circular chamber, where three stones are lit up by the sun.
The convex central stone reflects the sunlight in to a dark recess, lighting up the decorated stones there. The rays then recede slowly along the right side of the passage and after about two hours the sun withdraws from Dowth South.
Access to the Dowth site is unrestricted. Access to the southern chamber of Dowth is limited; visitors must request a key from the management of the Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre and leave a deposit. There is no public access to the northern passage and chamber or souterrains.

Throughout the Mourne mountains in Co Down there are DryStone Walls everywhere they would be hard to miss ,The pattern and mosaic of the drystone walls has had a very strong influence on the landscape character of the Mournes. Stone has been collected over the centuries to make strong field boundaries. The Mourne Wall itself is 35Km long and has sheep holes built into the wall for moving sheep between areas on the high Mournes. The wall also
has stones built into the wall for people to climb over it and more recently stiles have been introduced to protect the wall.
To Ask You to Be My Valentine
To ask you to be my Valentine
I'd have to talk to you,
Something that in all this time
I've managed not to do.
I'd have to get past "Hi!" somehow
To show you that I care,
But the right time is never now,
Especially when you're there.
It's as if a wall of fear,
Transparent yet profound,
Came hurtling up as you come near,
Cutting off all sound.
I fear I won't know what to say
And strike you as a fool,
Or you'll be glad to get away,
Polite not to be cruel.
Easier to dream than act,
To hope than to find out,
So fearful of the force of fact
I wait in fear-filled doubt.
But now the day of love has come,
And I must cross its line,
And so I ask you through this poem
To be my Valentine.
The world is new to us every morning - this is our gift; and everyone should believe they are reborn each day.
Enjoy you day
Another picture taken yesterday whilst walking around in a daydream at craigavon lakes
In My Dreams i am thinking of the wildlife around me i am looking at the clouds and thinking just a little bit more , the sun dissappears for a moment and the birds start singing at roost ,
in my dreams i am dazzled by the astounding colors, then i realize these are not in my dreams they are now in front of me captured not only by the camera but also etched in my mind .
