About once a year I start reminiscing of the perfect donut I once had and will buy one or two from the local confectioners to try them. All seems hopeful until I take that first bite, then I remember right away why I never buy these.
Until next year that is... memory is a funny thing.
Probably not my proudest of moments.
One day I'll try making donuts on my own.
Explore Sept. 24th.
One day, you came to me
Freed me from misery
I touched the music in you
You started to feel so happy
Makes me jump up and down
You know my heart gets a beat
Each time that we meet
I am so happy I met you
Happy
I am feeling so happy
I'm gonna go happy
You make me so happy
Can't you see I'm happy now
End the day with good coffee and donuts. Someone accept?

Everything I need to kick off a Friday morning at work.
And on a sadder note, the designer who brings in all of those wonderful Friday donuts for the team is leaving for another job. I wonder if someone else will step up as the Friday donut guy...

Made some modifications, swapped the door and arrangement... added a side dining patio. I couldn't stand the interior with the small table. It looked just too cramped...
This is an OOG, not the eye, but out of gauge object. (Maybe it should be OOOG, object out of gauge?) The trailer went away and after a while came back with two donut fenders.

This landscape photograph captures Donut Falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City, Utah. Shot from inside the natural cave formation, the image shows water cascading through the distinctive circular opening that gives the waterfall its name. Donut Falls is located approximately 20 minutes from Salt Lake City in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The moderate 1.5-mile hike makes it one of Utah's most accessible waterfall photography locations. This photo showcases the unique geological formation where Mill Creek flows through a natural hole in the rock face, creating the "donut" effect.
This began as an attempt to surgically excise the purple donut shop from the 10278 Police Station set, making a freestanding structure from an attached wing, while maintaining the breakaway modular style.
Then the blue bookstore kinda metastasized next to it and now it's just the cutest gosh darn little block you've ever seen.

One the day after i arrived in Salt Lake City i was taken out for a bit of hiking in Big Cottonwood Canyon! We ended up at Donut Falls which was a bit busy so we didnt get to the top of the waterfall which runs into a hole in the rock(donut!) and down the waterfall.
Random facts. I was trying to look up how high in the mountains this waterfall is and it came up with 7,942 ft (2,421 m), Snowdon in north wales is 3,560 ft (1,085 m). But Salt Lake where i was staying is already 4,226′ ft (1,288 m) above sea level so it wasnt a massive climb once we drove up into the mountains.

Los Banos Donuts shop at night
I can't be certain, but there is a very good chance that this place was there back when I made my first trip to Yosemite decades ago as a child. I recall my Dad driving us over Pacheco Pass and down through a green hills into the Central Valley. (Yes, this was before the San Luis Dam was constructed, though I think it was already approved or planned. Yes, I've been in California that long!) I know we passed through Los Banos, stopping in the mid-town park. I don't know if we stopped for donuts on that trip, but I have stopped here a few times since then.
Each time I've passed through this town for the past few years, typically before dawn or well after sunset, I've noticed the place and made a mental note to stop and photograph it in the dark, its big red DONUTS sign and glowing interior lights calling to us in the darkness. But since I was usually in a hurry to get somewhere — a destination to the east or else back home — I never stopped. Until this season. I finally pulled over and stopped briefly in a parking lot across the street and made a few exposures. I thought the pickup truck was an appropriate touch. (And, no, I did not stop for donuts. This time.)
