Have a wonderful relaxed weekend ;-))

Why do you worry? Don't even think about your raiment. Consider the lilies of the field how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you, Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[Matt 6:28; Luke 12:27]
The dry mix of Douglas fir, arbutus, and Garry oak ecosystem makes for good white fawn lily habitat. These flowers prefer dry open forests and meadows and they are plentiful on the more open west side of the Vancouver Island. On the east side their numbers were fewer, possibly due to the thick cover of snowberry bushes: islandnature.ca/2012/04/white-fawn-lilies-at-pipers-lagoo...

*[Boat-tailed Grackles are large, lanky songbirds with rounded crowns, long legs, and fairly long, pointed bills. Males have very long tails that make up almost half their body length and they typically hold them folded in a V-shape, like the keel of a boat.
The glossy blue-black males are hard to miss as they haul their ridiculously long tails around or display them from marsh grasses or trees. They are so common; Everglades guides nicknamed them; swamp rats. They are all over the Everglades! Fun to observe]

I know what it is
so that's all I tend to see
you probably don't know what it is,
so you are free to see
whatever your imagination will allow
To really unleash my creativity, I need to set aside all preconceived ideas - things I know or think I know. I need to learn how to see . . . .
lines
tones
colors
shapes
textures
patterns
I need to learn how to use . . . .
composition
s p a c e
focus
light
time
But most of all, I need to learn to trust and follow my heart, imagination, intuition and creativity. Not be afraid to be spontaneous and go with the flow.
This is not likely to make the explore pages … I couldn't care less! Many won't even care for it! But if just ONE person explores it with their imagination … if they "get" my point and use that to go out and do something new and creative, then I have succeeded.
Now what to call it? I thought about:
"Challenged"
"What do you see?"
"Making connections"
I even thought about using a form of the phrase that ran though most people's minds when they first clicked on this:
"What the ____ is he up to now?"
Have a wonder-filled and creative day / evening!

A mother's Comfort
Yes, I admit , I would sometimes wish I had the comforts and the easy life of the rich and famous.
Yes, it happens. Sometimes I even have feelings of insecurity, self pity, especially when I see big houses or when when I drive alongside flashy and expensive cars, while I sit in an eight-year-old car which I do not even own.
It is at such times when I feel the embrace and the smile of the Blessed Mother, and I start singing the song "Mother of Christ". And then I would smile again, affirming my choice for the "road less traveled", especially with the line of the song that goes, "I do not sigh for the wealth of the earth, for the joys that fade and flee.."
A MOMENT WITH THE LORD
Lord, I left everything to follow you. Remind me and assure me again and again that everything is vain and empty if you are not present in my life. Amen.
A MOMENT WITH THE WORD
Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow nor reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them."
Matthew 6:26
