What a pleasure it was to spend a few hours in the company of these gorgeous beauties.
Donna Nook now accounts for 1.5% of the world's grey seal population. The work of the wardens and the wildlife trust, is therefore crucial, for the future of these lovely animals.

A visit to the annual seal spectacle at Donna Nook doesn't just provide great photo opportunities of the seals but also a nice variety of birdlife. Here a smart looking Little Heron is seen having just taken flight for some reason. It would land just fifty yards away adjacent to yet another pool and continue its search for food.

Often regarded as drab birds a pair of colourful Starlings are seen in flight at Donna Nook.
Fingers crossed we will be heading down there again in a months time.

My favorite photo of my aunt Donna. This was taken while the family was visiting my dad, who was in the seminary at Niagara Falls. On the back of the photo is written "Donna clowning." Hee.
Donna with her friend who drives the medical van that used to take her to her disabled women's support group. He's also a professional jazz drummer.
I guess Donna did not want to put down her wine. So she plays the piano with Mr. Depaola and her feet.
