Der Donaudurchbruch, oder auch Weltenburger Enge, liegt am niederbayerischen Abschnitt der Donau zwischen Kehlheim und dem Kloster Weltenburg. Die Ausdehnung des Naturschutzgebietes beträgt etwa 560 Hektar, ist 5,5 Kilometer lang und etwa 400m breit.
The Danube Breakthrough, or Weltenburg Narrows, is located on the Lower Bavarian section of the Danube between Kehlheim and Weltenburg Monastery. The extent of the nature reserve is about 560 hectares, is 5.5 kilometers long and about 400m wide.
If you don't like walking you can use a boat to get to Abbey Weltenburg. Or take the boat back, if you got too much dark beer in the abbey beergarden 😊

Das ist der Beginn des Donaudurchbruchs - den man mit einem Schiff befahren muss. Hier ist der Fußweg zu Ende. Allerdings gibt es eine Route steil nach oben über die Felsen, weiter nach Weltenburg, man kann mit einem Schiffchen dann übersetzen zum Kloster.
