The terrain of Dolly Sods Wilderness in NE West VA is like being somewhere much further north...like Canada.
On my dolly shelf today: Simply Guava and Simply Mango. Underneath the dolly shelf, the old bookcase looks better now that I’ve painted it mint green. I like to pause here as I walk down the hallway, just to look at my cute dolls!

These Blythe dolls are Patty Patch, Pixie Peaceful (Middie), Picnic Al Fresco (how could I make a picnic picture without including her??) and Puchippu Chappu Pepa (Middie). I have a large collection of these mini Lalaloopsy’s; this is about a quarter of them. The theme of this photo is picnic.
The Bear Rocks is part of the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. This high-elevated plateau features an ecosystem that is typical to more northern regions. Beautiful geological formations and firey-red vegetation make this place one of the most photographed in West Virginia. Although capturing an interesting photograph might be a challenge. Relentless winds make a photographer's work difficult, and autumn can be chillingly cold. I experienced both during my trip to the place in October 2015. It was a windy and freezing morning, but the beauty of the place prevailed and made me patiently wait for the sun to appear above the horizon.
Dolly Sods Wilderness. The 17,371 acre Dolly Sods Wilderness in the Monongahela National Forest is part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. Elevations range from 2,500 to over 4,700 feet.
Bear Rocks preserve is a beautiful wilderness area in West Virginia. The area stand over Canaan Valley and is a favorite place for photographer especially during fall season.
