The bottom floor of Central Block had the first stores on North Street to have plate glass windows. The famous Newberry Company was located in Central Block for 54 years, closing in 1994. Now Central Block is home to many local businesses.

Today WAH are visiting absolute ground zero
And the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out
The worms play pinochle on your snout
They eat your eyes, they eat your nose
They eat the jelly between your toes
This was sort of a five and dime plus arts and craft stores that existed throughout America primarily in small towns. They named it Ben Franklin after his famous saying "a penny saved is a penny earned", This location closed in 2018 and is located in Middlebury, Vermont. I'm glad I was able to capture a photo of it because who knows if they'll keep the signage or not.
yes, you can experience the beauty of Autumn leaves all year round, but even at the Dollar Store this bounty will set you back a few hundred bucks :)
...my latest treasure, such a cute little potbelly teapot :))
Perfect for fresh cut whatever's in season at the time ;)
(you're doomed to see plenty of it all summer long) =D
I consider today a milestone for my 365. This is my third 365 photo project and I always find the first 99 days the hardest to get through and I get a little bit excited once I have reached the 100 day mark. Triple digits!! As a kid I remember being so excited to turn 10 years old. Double digits! Geez, I wish I could go back to being a single digit age. :)
When I went to the Dollarstore and bought the candles the cashier got excited and asked me if someone in my family would be celebrating their 100th birthday. I replied "No, these candles are just for a project I am working on." If she only knew lol. The candles might not be used for a birthday, but today deserved cupcakes, right?
100 down....only 265 more to go! lol
I gave this one an old and weathered look, but there's still a place to tie your horse while you shop.
The deliveries are on schedule but there’s never anyone to put stock away.
It becomes a bit of a maneuvering game to get through the isles and find those Dollar Tree goodies.
It seems new Dollar Stores are popping up everywhere. I might not have noticed this barn if I hadn't been parked in the Dollar Store parking lot looking at it.
The photo walk was sponsored by Fujifilm and yes nowadays these photo walks are like parties (with lots of fun).
They have lots of give-away like T-shirt, travel mug and lucky draws ... :o)
Let's party! :o)
This is another candid of photographer. One of the fellow Fuji X photographers was checking on her image on LCD in front of the dollar store.

The artificial flavored colors are cheap and easy to get. How low is the price? See the price tag of $1 in the picture!
There is no scarcity of saturated colors nowadays with advent of digital camera and all the photo editing softwares. Just pull the bar and you get all the vibrant and super-saturated colors. Colors are cheap and I tend to retreat into the world of black & white more.
I always envy my Flickr contacts like Jeanie and Eric who can capture natural, pleasing and great colors all the time under different light.
This is my shot at the Dollar Store in Lansdowne Mall.
Now with the small Fuji compact I am taking pictures in the shopping malls and all these unexpected places like a dollar store! :o)
Noonday Saturday I walked a 2km loop to Fairway Market, the bank and the dollar store.
A most pleasant walk in the wind under sunny skies.
P.S. I wore my new, black boots.
