Play-Doh is a modeling compound used by children for art and craft projects at home and in school. Composed of flour, water, salt, boric acid, and silicone oil, the product was first manufactured in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA as a wallpaper cleaner in the 1930s. When a classroom of children began using the wallpaper cleaner as a modeling compound, the product was reworked and marketed to Cincinnati schools in the mid-1950s. Play-Doh was demonstrated at an educational convention in 1956 and prominent department stores opened retail accounts. Advertisements promoting Play-Doh on influential children's television shows in 1957 furthered the product's sales. Since its launch on the toy market in the mid-1950s, Play-Doh has generated a considerable amount of ancillary merchandise such as The Fun Factory. In 2003, the Toy Industry Association named Play-Doh to its "Century of Toys List".

stepped outside in the sunshine with our youngest this morning, heading for the park. minutes after arriving, we had to take cover at a bus stop to avoid the heavy rain. wonderful light, and all that. i cursed, silently, that i hadn't brought a camera. then i realized i had three; my cell phone, the small digicam i currently use as lightmeter for the hassy, and the hasselblad itself. it was a d'oh! moment.

Cleaning out the house - amazing how things accumulate when you've been in one place too long. My kids haven't played with Play-Doh in years. Yet we had a couple of boxes of Play-Doh toys.
The rest continued to slip onto the public road. Leaving us to shift them by hand before the next car came along. Each one 2.5m long & weighing 90 - 110 Kgs.
Don't ask why I like this character - maybe because he reminds a lot of the typical characters in this country.
I wasn't happy with the fact that the rear of my Ace mkII was a bit...flat. And now this one doesn't suit the front. Another place, another time I'd be pretty cuffed, but now....*sob*
someone made art out of a pipe hole...I love that so much!!! I made it colorful. It was just beige before I got a hold of it! ha ha. :)
