What is becoming a sort of tradition in the young village of Zeewolde, which only exists for not even three decades, is the so called "Day of the Dogs" on a beach near the lake where the village is situated.
It is held in July and the dogs really show themselves off and get from especially their female owners so much attention that it makes many of the husbands jealous.
And since the winter has returned and again we have snow, I thought it would be a good idea to place an image taken on a sunny day last summer. Note the dog on the far right with its eyes barely open because of the bright light.
