This doesnt look hard at all. Actually, it looks more soft than a lot of pictures i have taken. I like that you can get so many moods from the same shoot. I want to take ugly pictures soon. I want to make them so ugly it almost hurts to look at.

i havent done portraits for a while, but they turned out pretty good, especially since i didnt get to draft things out on the foam cups. i guess going to art school isnt such a bad idea after all. that, or i have amazing beginner's luck.

Juat me putting down some thoughts
A grid for love, not love to find a partner or significant other because i gave up on that long ago, but to love myself more and accept myself for who I am. To be confident and not just stand in the shadows. Hopeing something to happen. To make something happen. To see that I have talents and that im worth the time energy ans effort. That juay because I have some mental health problems it doesnt make me unwanted or unlovable. It just takes more work. That im not just a pretty face (and no im not trying being conceited i have never felt actually pretty but alot of people tell me I am so i wamt to see what they see.) Im no where near perfect. I have been broken so much along the way and putting those pieces back together they have nver fit the same. So here am I finding myself once again
releasing anger and grief - I find myself to get angry and upset ams extremely irritated for absolutely no reason. Mostly mad at myself as i do not have patience or a sense of self worth. And i am also very hard on myself. I always wamt things perfect amd if its not then i don't even bother with it. Losing my grandma last year. Its almost been a year really made me sit down amd think life is extremly short. I want to enjoy it and i want to be happy enjoying it but happiness for me seems to be so hard to achieve. I want to go on adventures enjoy time with friends amd family because you never know when they womt be there.
Releasing negative energy. Mostly my own negative energy. To be more positive and not always lht myaelf down so much or twlk myself that im ugly and that i don't really deserve anything good or any happiness at all.
So that was the gist of this grid. My thoughts get all scattered. So ill just leave it at that. I said it was REAL and If you are still reading this thank you for being along this journey with me and thank you for caring and kind words it really means alot to me

...For those who doesnt understand the word "Suprabhatham", it's "Good Morning".
And the rest of it means- The festivities are over, now in the morning there is work to rush to, tuitions to go to and a hundered other things to handle....
The past fortnight saw the run up to Onam and the after effect of the festival that lingered around like a delicious hang-over.Everyone was busy preparing for the big Onam day starting celebrations on Chingam Onnu and then Onam came with all its splendour and cheer. Even though I live away from my state, Kerala's television channels have to a great extend brought about the enjoyment and the mood to our homes here.The only thing they fail in is giving us a taste of the "real sadya"( the traditional Onam lunch with 24-25 varities of curries and 2-3 types of dessert(Payasams)).Maybe someday that will happen too....:D.
And then the fun days suddenly get over and life is back to its routine churn.
This image from my archives reminded me of a scene right out of one such routine Kerala mornings- The sun would rise warm and mellow, lighting the tarred country roads and gleaming it like bright copper.The old woman reminded me of Karthu, Kochuvalli,etc- dark wrinkled yet agile women who used to come home to sweep the courtyard and help around the house, the boys riding the bicycles with their books in a textile shop's plastic bag tucked into the carriers rushing for tuitions and the men in motorbike speeding away to finish some unfinished tasks during the day.
I grew up seeing many a morning scene as this.But it became special for me when i captured one such moment for posterity. This image is quite apart from my usual subjects of photography.And it was nice to try this after seeing several such wonderful moments captured by some of my keen-to-see-life-around friends like Nasseer Ommer,Smevin and several others from Discover Planet - a group of photography enthusiasts.

Looks unreal doesnt it? Well...i wont say I took the shot from a space shuttle, but defenitely I have created This piece of art.
How?
I just found a randown shot of the Earth (Taken from Space) on Google/Images. Then Merged(Photoshop'd) the shot of the Moon, which I took today(with my Sony H50), with it and ended up giving it a feel as if it has been taken from Outer-space.

Doesnt this just look great!!?? Multicoloured, no fancy lights or bull shit and a classic York single axlel trailer complete with the showmans extra added under boxes and towbar. All my memories of fairground lorries as a kid were they looked like this!!

Spring doesnt always last forever....so these flowers have to for sure rush their way and blossom when the time is there for them to do so.....this Flower Rush is a beauty in itself

This morning, my mom had to go out of town for the weekend. She came in my room and gave me a kiss while i was asleep which woke me up.. it was about 6:15. I knew I wouldnt be able to get back to sleep so I just sat there for a second.. Then suddenly I had one of those unexplainable urges to shoot. I ran outside with my camera and tripod at 6:40 in the morning and tried to do some motion shots. They didnt work out so much so I was about to go back in when i looked at the curb and pictured this. It came out exactly how i was expecting. I ran inside and yelled to my Dad "DO WE HAVE A BOX" and he didnt know. So I ran into my basement and found one. I got my body shot (ripping the back off the box in the process, sorry baby box) and thought "how can I take this concept further?" I RAN inside and yelled to my dad "FIND ME A GARBAGE BAG FULL OF STUFF" so he did. ALL O DEM GARBAGE BAGS ARE LAYER MASKED IN WHUT
I have a few concepts that I CANT WAIT to excecute... GAH <3

I was part of this swap which occurred before ArtFiberfest last year. Took a year but we finally made the pages of CPS.
Mine is the one in the upper left.
Man made waterfall inside Butterfly park in Bannerghatta. Clicked when i went for Koottam Bangalore meet.
My photo doesnt do this life size statue the justice it deserves but as part of the Peace Officer Memorial in the Capitol square area of Sacramento it sits quitely under a tree and from every angle it is very moving. The triangle on the bench is the American flag and its so moving you almost want to reach out and hug them both. The sculpture Syd Whittle did a superb job of capuring the true grief of everyday people and the comfort we bring to each other in times of shock and despair. I recommend visiting this should you ever visit Calfornia capitol city. This artist as truely given us something for the heart and soul.

As soon as I saw the blue of yesterdays shot. I knew I had to use it again, but what for ?
Then I remembered I had this little wooden boat which is one of a pair that came from a charity (RNLI).
On taking it out, I remembered that it had a kinda stand on the bottom, so wouldnt sit flat on a surface. By playing with angles, I got some reasonable shots on an acrylic base, but couldnt totally lose the gap underneath. So out with the water tray :)
It is actually sat on the bottom of the tray with just a few millimetres of water around it, which did prevent it from floating around, a bit of a bonus, as it was quite a tight fit in the tray and I didnt have much space to play with. Would have been nice to have got a bit of a lower viewpoint, but I need a bigger water tray to be able to do that. I had to clone out the sides of the tray from the top corners of the pic, it really was that tight :)
The ripples were created by blowing gently through a drinking straw onto the surface of the water.
Lighting was from a trio of Neewer SF-01 mini slave flashes. One on each side angled toward the backdrop but allowing some light through tracing paper screens to fall onto the boat. These were activated by Blazzeo SLT-4 radio triggers.
The third flash was located behind and below the tray, pointing back onto the base of the backdrop and activated by its optical sensor.
