I have another photo of this car that focuses on the cool, chrome door handle, which is flat and rectangular shaped. But I’m going to stop here, because I think that’s probably enough car photos for now. lol Thank you so much for your support and interest. Marion is a city in McDowell County, North Carolina, United States. It is the county seat of McDowell County. Founded in 1844, the city was named in honor of Brigadier General Francis Marion, the American Revolutionary War Hero whose talent in guerrilla warfare earned him the name “Swamp Fox”. This image was created from multiple exposures blended together in Photoshop CS6 layers using the "Lighten" blend mode. All exposures were taken with a single Paul C. Buff Einstein strobe with a 22" beauty dish attached to a Elinchrom boom arm. This 1970 Challenger reminds me of a 1971 movie, titled Vanishing Point .
The movie featured a 1970 White Challenger with a supercharged 440 R/T Magnum. The action packed movie was based on a high speed police chase from Utah to Nevada. USA

It may be raining a little, but any weather is good for a drive.
And, it wouldn't be a complete lens test without at least one car, right?
A 6 image focus stack of my 1/18th scale model Dodge Challenger parked in the driveway out front.
Canon R10, RF 100-400 without extender.
Despite being a focus stack to get more of the car in focus, I left the rear just slightly soft to blend a little with the backdrop.
(Note to self - repair and replace the door mirror on the right hand door!) I had an accident! ; )
...a Dodge Challenger in this case. Even a little light rain didn't put me off taking it out for a spin.
These are certainly more common in the USA, but here in Australia, they are not seen that often and a quick look online revealed them selling for six figure sums. Mine was just over a hundred dollars, but then it is just a 1/18th scale model. It was minus one rear view mirror for this shoot (I blame Dougie!) but still looked mean and muscular.

When Dougie and Cal saw the shot of the Dodge Challenger online a few days back, they were shocked and embarrassed about not having noticed the missing mirror, so they dragged the tool-boxes around and put in a quiet all-nighter down at the Ferrari workshop. Pleased to report, the mirror has been repaired and replaced! Good work lads!

Vanishing Point (1971) is an action film directed by Richard Sarafian and starring Barry Newman, Cleavon Little, and Dean Jagger. It was originally released in the United States on March 13, 1971.
This cult classic is the story of a man named Kowalski who makes a bet with his drug dealer that he can deliver a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T from Denver, Colorado to San Francisco, CA in 15 hours.
During the span of this 1,200-mile road trip, Kowalski uses an amphetamine to stay awake, and through a series of flashbacks, we learn that he is a Vietnam veteran, former race car driver, and former police officer.

The things you can do with simple slider controls! Red is a fascinating colour to manipulate with sliders in a photo editing program. It is amazingly responsive to all sorts of inputs.
This was my bright red 1/18th scale model Dodge Challenger (the one that pesky stormtrooper keeps "borrowing" from me). Maybe he won't recognise it!
