We threw an event where we showed the documentary that TOMS made. We had a pretty good turnout but the stories from people that supported the event during the day were the best. We had people walking all around town without shoes. Into grocery stores and through high school and middle schools. It was pretty awesome. Looking forward to next year!

November 8, 2023 at Central Library. Screening and Panel Discussion of Thunder in the Dells documentary.
Lance Tallmadge's documentary film "Thunder in the Dells" will bring to life the local history and the deep connection between the Ho-Chunk people and their homelands in Wisconsin. After the film, a panel composed of Janice Rice (Ho-Chunk historian and performer at Stand Rock Indian Ceremonial), Lisa Hendrickson (great granddaughter of pioneer photographer H.H. Bennett) and Lance Tallmadge (Ho-Chunk cultural arts presenter) shared their cultural connection to the Dells and its formative years as a tourism destination.
