Cancelled due to Covid The UK Railtours "The Doctor Syn" finally ran on the 30th October. The tour visited the freight only lines of Grain and Dungeness and HVO converted 66 004 is seen at Sunset arriving at the Dungeness Rail Head with the 1335 departure from Grain. Standard 66 128 was on the rear and worked the train back to Derby as 1Z42 1700 Dungeness to Derby.
Yeah - I was going to include Doc Ock in yesterday's Spider-Man post, then I made too many versions and I decided to make a separate post, as I do. Also, I'm going to list these below, but they're definitely just inspired by these sources - I know none are 100% accurate.

I'm told one of these magical spherical things per day will keep the doctor away. Like so many things these days one wonders about the truth of that. Fuji Apples, Orem, Utah.
Among the many quotes I learned to appreciated over the years there is one that have a very special meaning to me:
“I am, and always will be, the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams.”
It comes from Doctor Who series and what makes it so special to me is it actually describes my own personality quite well.
I can really relate with it and the personal connection makes the quote special.
This photo is a tribute to that quote.
I paired up the Eleventh Doctor (the quote’s character) with Jyn because that quote sounds perfect for one of the greatest heroes of the Rebellion built on hope.

Fresh out of the box this morning, Big Chief Studios' long-awaited Weeping Angel figure. Lovely sculpting and the parts all interchange neatly, easily and firmly. But some of the paint applications don't quite match up; the skirt especially seems to be lacking the final paint wipe & wash the body has. As yet (at time of writing I haven't seen any other photos of the production pieces) I don't know if this is a one-off or more common.
Upper East Side, Central Park - Jun 2008 - 085
These pictures were taken on two successive days when I had doctor appointments on the Upper East Side of NYC, and had the chance to walk along Fifth Avenue, and then through Central Park in order to return to my apartment on the Upper West Side, at Broadway & 96th
I had spotted this woman jogging in Central Park a little earlier -- how could you not notice someone in a bright pink top and pink hat? She had been running south, while I was walking north, and she went by too quickly for me to get a picture.
But about ten minutes later, as I was approaching Columbus Avenue and 96th Street, she jogged past me again ... she had to stop at Columbus Avenue, because of the traffic, so she was actually jogging in place when I took this picture...
Note: on Sep 26, 2012, I replaced the original version of this photo with a slightly edited one. All I did was some relatively minor adjusting of "hot spots" and "cold spots" -- but unfortunately, I was unable to remove all the monochromatic blackness in the woman's tights Unfortunately, the original photo was shot as a JPG image, before I learned about the benefits of shooting in RAW and making more subtle adjustments with my Aperture photo-editing program...

JR Central's KiYa 95 nears the small town of Suhara on an as needed rail inspection run over the Chuo West Main Line.
The KiYa 95 is a purpose-built DMU inspection train to measure rail and overhead wire conditions, and operates on all of JR Central's trackage, freight, and even some private railways on a bi-monthly basis. Two sets are built and are based out of Nagoya. This day's run was for the Chuo Line between Kiso and Nagoya. Due to the yellow nose, and nature of its job, these trains are nicknamed "Doctor Tokai", a play on the "Doctor Yellow" shinkansen performing similar duties, and "Tokai", Japanese for Central.

Took a trip to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, this is one of the old TARDIS sets, fairly happy with it considering it was taken handheld

While I would love to take credit for this photograph in all honestly I can't, it was taken by my son while we waited on the police and medical to come check me out because I had the great fortune to have a part of a sidewalk collapse under me and sent me sprawling to the sidewalk. Good news is that my camera is ok :)

The day I took this photo, I found him with a pigeon in hand and a pair of scissors. He explained that pigeons easily pick up hair and other bits of string that get tangled in their claws and if it's not cleaned, the circulation gets cut off...they get infected...and then the bit of claw will drop off. When he sees that, he removes the string, and presto!...the manicure is complete.
A concrete groyne extends into Lake Michigan under a dramatic, cloudy sky at Doctors Park. Waves crash around the structure, creating a dynamic and moody.
Window in one of the Doctor’s consulting rooms on Wickham Terrace, Brisbane, Queensland. Wickham Terrace is equivalent to London’s Harley Street where all the top specialists set up practices.
As life has quickened it’s pace, there are problems. Expensive parking and you have to travel to the city also and if you go by public transport, it can be quite a walk up the hill behind Central Station, even if you catch the lift. It is one of the highest parts of the city.
Yeah the make up of these pics started to fall apart once I'd started with the grouping and posing. So this one has a few extras.
Sixth - This is the other one that exists in real life, albeit with different hair. I'm actually really happy with this one, he's my secret favourite (don't tell the others).
Seventh - Like I said last time, the alternate theme started to fall apart pretty much as soon as I really got into making these guys. This one's pretty much just a more modern take on him.
Eighth - Another one who didn't undergo much change. Why am I even bothering with these guys again?
Eighth (Time War) - Been getting into Big Finish lately, so I thought I'd add in the Time War version of the Eighth Doctor, with added beard.
War - Like the actual one but sans beard and spiky hair. God knows why at this point.
