The Daily Bugle’s Lobby
To even out the attention my most favorite comic book heroes receive, I decided to let the Batcave interiors rest a little longer and build another Spider-Man MOC in the meantime – one that I had in mind for some years.
Do you remember my version of the Daily Bugle rooftop? Since it was a lot of fun to create it, I wanted to show some other parts of the building.
The typewriters are still based on the one I created for H. P. Lovecraft’s Study which in turn was based on my good friend Jonas’ typewriter design.
I’ve seen Doc Ock’s slim tentacles in this MOC from another friend and talented builder, Tim Lydy.
To make a long story short: Enjoy the Daily Bugle’s lobby. Dedicated to Tom Holland, the best Peter Parker/Spider-Man so far (in my opinion).
The Daily Bugle’s Lobby
Some people asked me to post a photo of the complete floor mosaic without the shattered glass. Besides, the mosaic took the major part of the 6 weeks building time, so here it is.
Oh man, I'm soooo easily distracted. I planned some Monkey Island builds for the end of the year.... err... I mean, x-mas builds, no, no, actually something for my lug contest. Nope, not that either, an Elton John fig. Yeah that's it. No, the other guy that looks like him actually.
Here's a first look at my Dock Ock in the works. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has Frankensteined this guy together.
I thought the mad scientist gig would be fitting. That's pretty much who he is. I've also bulked him up a little bit by using some body armor. it makes him appear more hunched in and solitaire. like a mad man that works in secret.
The legs are going to change, but the colors will stay the same. I'm still debating if he should have hair or not?
I welcome any suggestions! :)
Minifigs from my Oscorp build:
Vulture, Electro, Rhino, Doc Ock, Scoprion, Mysterio
Mentally bracketed these as the industrial six, what with the style I was going for with the exo-suits. I ended up going with the official Mysterio figure because it's quite nice.

Doc Cog is at large again, likely planning another dangerous crime! Aren't we glad that even in an alternative steampunk universe Spiderman is always ready to take care of super villains?
An entry for this months's RogueBricks contest "Steam Heroes".
Mech Monday is an ongoing project started by Marin and I with the aim to build and post 52 mechs each in 2019 – one every Monday.
Come join the fun by posting a mech, robot or drone on a Monday. Any Monday. Find everyone's builds so far in the Mech Monday flickr group.
If you want a challenge or need inspiration, next week we're doing “Platform.”
Hey everyone!
I'm very happy to show you a fig from one of my all time favorite fights, the Anti Ock Suit.
Everything leading up and from it's creation just brings me chills, it was such an amazing surprise to see this at the climax of the game that i knew i had to make it.
As usual all of it was hand painted by yours truly. Which was very challenging since everything had to look clean and sleek, especially the Spiders.
One of my fav details is the battle damaged head.
I'm overall really happy with this figure.
But let me know what you think!

Aaaand another remake. I haven't managed to make what I wanted with my previous build (nor with this, but I realize I'd need 3x the parts I had to make what I wanted... nor do I have the skills for that matter :)) ).
The building is loosely based on the Flatiron Building used in Raimi's Spiderman.
My son and I put together this Doc Ock vs Spiderman Lego set and while he was playing with it, I got inspired to create a composite based on his pretend play.
I captured the photo of my son and also the completed Lego Doc Ock using my Sony A7ii camera.
I used a stock background image from Adobe Stock.
Then I put them all together using Photoshop for the final piece!
I hope you like this one!

Otto Grubtavius was a brilliant engineer. His work on the Manchester dockside was renowned throughout the Empire.
His multi armed Octo suit and razor sharp mind enabled him to do the work of several men (making some of them redundant), although far from popular he was immensely respected.
Then one fateful day rogues seeking to steal parts for their airship from a warehouse damaged vital vent cooling piping. Otto was caught in the horrendous back draft which destroyed the central control room from which he operated all dockland activities. His body became fused with his equipment.
It wasn't just the dockside operations that were shattered that day, Otto's mind completely disintegrated with it.
Now trapped in his suit he seeks to find the looters who did this to him and make them pay dearly.

It’s a pity that the broken glass covers huge parts of the gothic letters that are part of the floor mosaic. This is all Doc Ock’s fault ;o)
I originally planned some text for these scheduled posts about how I'm excited for the new Miles Morales video game coming up, then razz on DC Fandome and make a joke about Marvel being in their off season or something dumb... but honestly I'm just so fucking tired with the state of the US right now.
I'd like to think my page is a safe and empowering space. Miles here is a hero and an icon to so many people.
If you're okay with a brainwashed 17yr old kid killing people in the streets than get the fuck off my page.
Collecting and photographing Lego is a privilege. Just like it's a privilege to safely walk away from police without being shot SEVEN FUCKING TIMES
Jesus...
I'm not gonna push this too much but my Patreon has stuff like always... Right now I just feel like garbage for promoting myself while looking out my own window.
If you think that this isn't the right stance to take, than you're siding with hatred and fascism and all the things our little plastic heroes fight against.
I'm so fucking mad right now.

i've added lip color, shading, EYEBROWS! and movie-accurate eye color (GREEN muajajaja)
may get her some actual octagonal glasses 3D printed eventually but these are ok for now. i just shaved the round edges off some mattel HP ones
new headband covered with washi tape because i found some that looked just like her headband in the movie.
also put not quite matching pockets onto her labcoat for fun (it was originally from the AvaStars vet doll so i had to replace the pet-themed logos on the pockets)
the rest of her explanations are here:

the stuff around her is from from OurGeneration and MyLifeAs science sets, and the book is barbie (it came with a teacher fashion)

I'd like to thank Undead Alive for the inspiration for his mecha spider leg things, I've been planning on making him for a while, if Lego is already planning on making him in a set then I might do some improvements. I still think this guy looks really good thoughm
liv is on an unbranded action figure body that i got some of on ebay (i'm happy about these because they fit some barbie stuff and are all hard plastic, no squidgy torsos), but she is a ringtoy jack the ripper "realistic" head, which i chose to mod for olivia octavius because her animated design is very pointy and this head was already kind of pointy.
i still need to paint her lips, eyebrows, and maybe some shading on the face, but wanted to show the progress so far.

Have been sitting on this amazing minifigure from Firestar. I think this came out pretty well, great figure for an absolutely amazing movie.
I have a lot... A LOT of minifigures that I will be hopefully catching up with, soon. Expect more plenty of Marvel and Sandman.
Bonnie Bailey: “Roxie, Mommy already got you some toys.”
Roxie Bailey: “Dolly… Mommy, dolly…”
Bonnie: “Yes, dear, those are pretty dollies but Mommy just got you a dolly.”
Borbala: “She finds many new things!”
Bonnie: *sigh* “Yes, yes she does. And immediately forgets what she just got. Come on Roxie. I’ll get you an ice cream, okay? And we can call Mr. Cooper and see if Cici can play tonight. Won’t that be fun?”
My version of the original Sinister Six line-up, from way back in Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1) Annual #1.
Built for the Super Hero Soirée at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. This was a departure from my usual subject matter, but it was enjoyable to work on some modern architecture, and I was able to use some pieces I had never really used before for some of the details. Also, I lacked many super hero figs, but was able to put together a custom Doc Ock to go along with the spider man I had.
Enjoy!

Dr. Otto Octavius, better known as Doctor Octopus or Doc Ock, is a Marvel Comics supervillain, an enemy of Spider-Man. Due to exposure to atomic radiation, Doctor Octopus has the ability to control his four artificial tentacle arms, even when they are not even connected to him, even over vast distances.
