Green is our past.
I'm going to tell you this: “Our Future is White!"

Even though I have currently discovered my love for green in terms of fashion, the colour in terms of climate protection remains "white"!
.
However, if you think of climate protection, keywords like climate neutrality, sustainability and the colour green probably come to mind. Green is always good. Green is our common planet, at least in some places.
.
Green stands for life, the future, plants, food, fresh air, ergo: less Co2.
.
Green has always existed, and always has. Climate change and the resulting rising temperatures, Co2 emissions, which serve as a time machine for evolution, can become "neutral" again through even more green. Agreed!
.
But the question is, is that enough? Is looking into the past really the key to the questions and problems of the future? Or can we only derive partial answers from it? Is it enough to become or be climate-neutral, or is it necessary, with global warming rising so fast, with all its ecological, social and economic consequences for our flora and fauna and thus also for the habitat for us humans, to do more than just more green, less Co2 and a "climate-neutral" industry?

I say no!!! - The buzzword of the hour is "active global warming reduction"! Because neutrality would have been needed by our planet already 20 years ago to remain in its natural balance.

Now our common planet Earth needs effective reduction! - And this is called "white"!

"White" is the new green and does not simply stand for neutrality, but for active reduction, with the same tricker factors. The colour "white" helps our Earth to actively cool itself down, independent of external factors that contribute to warming!

Auch wenn ich aktuell meine Liebe zu grün in Sachen Mode entdeckt habe, bleibt die Farbe in Sachen Klimaschutz „Weiß“!

Wer allerdings an Klimaschutz denkt, dem fallen wahrscheinlich Schlagworte wie, Klimaneutralität, Nachhaltigkeit und die Farbe Grün ein. Grün ist immer gut. Grün ist unser gemeinsamer Planet, zumindest an manchen Orten.

Grün steht für das Leben, die Zukunft, für Pflanzen, Ernährung, frische Luft, ergo: Weniger Co2.
.
Grün gab es schon immer, und war es schon immer. Der Klimawandel und die damit ansteigenden Temperaturen, der Co2 Ausstoß, der als Zeitmaschine der Evolution dient, kann durch noch mehr Grün wieder „Neutral“ werden. Stimmt.

Aber die Frage ist, reicht das noch? Ist der Blick in die Vergangenheit wirklich der Schlüssel für die Fragen und Probleme der Zukunft? Oder können wir nur noch Teilantworten daraus ableiten? Reicht es klimaneutral zu werden, oder zu sein, oder braucht es bei einer derart schnell ansteigenden, globalen Klimaerwärmung, mit all ihren ökologischen, sozialen und ökonomischen Konsequenzen für unsere Flora und Fauna und damit auch für den Lebensraum für uns Menschen, mehr als nur mehr Grün, weniger Co2 und eine „klimaneutrale“ Industrie?

Ich sage nein!!! - Das Schlagwort der Stunde heißt „aktive Klimaerwärmungsreduktion“! Denn Neutralität hätte unser Planet bereits vor 20 Jahren benötigt, um in seinem natürlichen Gleichgewicht zu bleiben.

Overall, I am happy with my rig and believe I will be able to use it for effective animation. There are a few issues with it that need fixing; the elbow joint does not bend when the arms are moved, I've tried to fix this by redoing it but still got the same result, so am not sure what to try next. I've also done the fingers closing into a fist, however didn't carry on further with the hands in case I have to redo them after fixing the elbow. I also attempted to do the footroll on the left foot, I haven't yet repeated it on the right foot as I'm not sure whether the left foot is doing the right thing and didn't want to mess up both feet. Everything else seems to be working as it should and I'm happy with the results so far, I just need to fix a couple of things.

On December 2, 2023, I began my 28th, and final, year as CEO of MTNA. As most of you know, I am retiring from my position, effective June 30, 2024. The past few months have been a special time of reflection for me, recalling countless fond and profound memories of serving MTNA and its very special members. At the same time, I have been wondering what the future holds, both personally and for the association.
This dichotomy of simultaneously looking backward and forward has taken on new meaning for me now that I am so near the finish line. But, in reality, it has been a regular aspect of my leadership over the past three decades. I've spent a great deal of time "looking backward" at MTNA's rich history and traditions since its founding in 1876. Equally, I have spent countless hours "looking forward" to ensure we continue to have a vital and unique role in the future of music teaching.
My goal has been to hold these two opposing forces, the new and the traditional, in creative tension and not allow either to exclude the other. In fact, I believe that the future of our association rests in our ability to affirm, on the one hand, our great traditions while at the same time to confront courageously the issues and opportunities that are presenting themselves in the new age in which we live. In doing so, we reconcile the best of what has been established with the best of today's new ideas and opportunities.
The eminent music historian Donald J. Grout in his magnum opus, A History of Western Music, said it best: "Reconciliation of the new with the traditional is the task that confronts every artist in his own generation, and one that can be evaded only at the price of artistic suicide." The statement applies equally to associations like MTNA striving to evade organizational irrelevance.
The future of MTNA will be secure if it remains committed to reconciliation of the new with the traditional. Let us continue to affirm the great successes of the past with the knowledge that the best of everything lies ahead.

That, perhaps, is one of the best summaries I have ever seen about leadership. What that phrase in mind, what are you doing to keep in balance the trends that will define your tomorrow along with the reality of where you are today?
Over the years, I've seen a lot of companies and the leaders in charge follow a path down to irrelevance. Either they have not clearly understood how their world is changing and have refused to act, or they have been blind to the change and have failed to act. Either way, their fate is assured in the face of relentless change. When everything changes and you don't, your fate is doomed - you are on the path to irrelevance. You need to go forward with certain basic realities in mind:
- if you aren't innovating fast enough, products that don't yet exist based on ideas not yet conceived will challenge your market dominance
- if you aren't innovating at speed, your customers will see through your products and your brand as tired and old
- if you aren't aware of new competitors that might be emerging that might challenge you, you will likely be caught flatfooted by surprise
- if you haven't realigned yourself with a focus on agility and speed, you'll be moving too slowly in a fast-paced world
- if you haven't accelerated your knowledge asset capabilities, the skills that you have to take you into a new and different future will be lacking
- if you haven't infused your organization with the spirit of new thinking you'll be encumbered by old ideas
The big problem with all of these issues is that many leaders become far too immersed in their focus on the present day and not enough on tomorrow. The result is that their attitude that they are doing the 'right thing' - staying focused on the issues of today - is far more important than working harder to get to tomorrow. This brings about the reality that their attitude brings about their fall.
History is littered with the wreckage of organizations that did not step up to the plate of the speed of future trends, and who have failed to adapt to fast-paced market change.
The degree of blindness determines how quickly change can happen to them - the speed of the race to irrelevance.

Though she and her husband made a historic pledge to Carl Sandburg College last year, Tracey Moore Baker hadn’t set foot in a building here in decades until last week.
During a campus tour April 5, Moore Baker marveled at the physical transformation of Sandburg’s Main Campus in Galesburg since she graduated from the nursing program in 1985. But what struck her most about the campus were the developments in technology of how instructors teach and students learn.
“The advances you guys have made were astonishing to me,” Tracey said, “It just really made me feel like we are doing the right thing with Carl Sandburg College.”
Tracey and her husband, Mark Baker, took part in a signing ceremony Tuesday at Sandburg to formally commemorate their seven-figure estate gift, the largest planned contribution in the College’s history. They want their donation to have a particular emphasis on assisting first-generation college students with needs such as tuition, books, housing and transportation. The objective of their gift is to eliminate any impediments to getting an education.

Going to Texas to reorganize my legal affairs made sense at this time, as I faced constant pressure and lack of financial resources in California... however, my sweet, open trusting nature was taken advantage of once again. I couldn't believe it at first, because here I was giving an ol' friend a chance to do the right thing and ultimately he only wanted one thing from me.
Leaving Texas reactivated my PTSD and it sucked hardcore, but I'm grateful I could get away from a very bad, escalating situation. Thank goodness for my quick-acting BF, who calmly got me out of that situation before it was too late. ❤️ With his help and that of extended ohana, I made it back to California.

Steve Sessler has experience as a United States Marine Corps prosecutor and a judge. As a prosecutor, Sessler handled cases involving, among many other things, drug possession use and possession, homicide, and serial rape. Even in the early 1990’s, Steve Sessler was using DNA evidence to convict a man of committing violent sexual acts upon nine separate victims. Through Steve’s experiences, Sessler has demonstrated the skills necessary to lead other prosecutors in the Livingston County’ District Attorney’s office and Steve Sessler has acquired the expertise to win convictions in difficult cases.
