It was our first day in Yellowstone and I had gotten up early in anticipation of what hopefully would be a good morning of shooting. I made several stops at the pull-offs along the west entrance road, getting a nice sunrise and an osprey sitting in a tree above the Madison River. There were quite a few (at least so I thought that morning) cars and trucks stopped at a particular pull-off, so I got out to see what was drawing everyone's attention. It was an elk herd with a few animals on each side of the river. As more elk began to cross the river, the light turned truly divine and this little one decided to pause as it walked in the water. I love how its head was looking up and into the light - an early morning devotion?

This is a 30 second exposure of our Lake Erie after the sunset at twilight time! I love that water and the colors were so amazing! I'm pretty happy that I have tripod now so I can do more cool things :) I also bought a camera backpack and there is a tripod holder on the outside. I think I'm all set :D It was a very gorgeous moment and it came out pretty good with my camera so that I didn't had to do anything in Photoshop this time!

I need a title for this image though! I ran out of titles again...

Another type of firework... not quite as explosive, but packs a punch with its color! You almost need sunglasses to look at this! I picked this up at the local Farmer's Market. A nice way to brighten up the home.

The facts: Dahlia, named after Swedish 18th-century botanist Anders Dahl, is a genus of perennial plants native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. There are at least 36 species of dahlia. Dahlia hybrids are commonly grown as garden plants.

The Philosophical Hall at the Strahov Monastery, Prague, Czechia (the Czech Republic's official short name as of 2016)

Abbot Vaclav Mayer, during the last quarter of the 18th century, decided to build new library premises for the numerous acquisitions so he ordered the Philosophical Hall to be built by the naturalized Italian architect Johann Ignaz Palliardi. The hall is 32 meters long, 10 meters wide and 14 meters high, flanked on all sides by rich walnut wood bookcases. The highest shelves are only accessible from the gallery which is accessed by secret spiral staircases in both corners, masked by false book covers.

The ceiling was painted by Viennese artist Anton Maulbertsch over a period of 6 months, aided by only one assistant. The painting called The Spiritual Development of Mankind depicts the development of religion and science, guided by Divine Providence in the center of the painting, surrounded by virtues.

In the 19th century, Napoleon Bonaparte's wife Marie Louise visited the library and donated a four-volume work on Louvre museum paintings and Versailles gardens. The gift was stored in the tall bookcase that dominates the left side of the hall. On the top of the bookcase, there is a marble bust of Francis I, Emperor of Austria and Marie Louise's father.

The total number of volumes in the hall exceeds 50,000 works. In 2010, the Philosophical Hall was completely restored.
